Liked: First of all, don't listen to whoever says Marseille is ugly... yes, it's a bit dirty but it's still a beautiful city with much to do, I loved it. In the hotel, the room was very nice and very clean, the hotel is located in the center of Marseille and you can walk everywhere from there and the staff are real nice and speak many languages, and it's a very good price. When I got there everything was full so they gave me a VERY nice studio for the same price. The only thing I have to say is for them to put up directions to get there. Get out from the main entrance in Saint-Michel Train Station and turn left, take the stairs and walk down the road to the main street (Canebière) and go left, at the end there will be a fork in the road and a big church, the road to the left besides the church is Franklin D. Roosevelt street and you'll see the Hotel, or you can take bus #52 from la Gare Routiere (right there in Saint Michel station) which gets you there also.

Liked: The hotel is about 2min walk from Reformée Canebiéres Metro station which is one stop from the TGV station at Gare St Charles and 3 stops from Vieux Port where most of the action is.
