Liked: It is very centrally located. And Clean. Good price for those criteria. Staff was friendly as well

Disliked: No elevator.. Troublesome if you have big suitcases and are on the 4th floor

Liked: Location was good, but a very standard hotel

Disliked: The door to our room hit the bed and didnt open all the way, the room was kinda tiny. The stairwell was quite dark and I actually fell down a step, not fun.

Liked: the staircase is not that bad as the others said. Enough for a short stay.

Disliked: bathroom is really small. A lil bit dark but quite ok if you on the bed light.

Liked: The location is really good as it is quite close to metro and the river which has a really fantastic view during evening. The staff is really helpful and friendly.

Disliked: It is a little bit dark inside the room.

Liked: One of the few places with a double bed.

Disliked: Older hotel with really poorly designed showers that got the entire bathroom soaked from a 5 min shower.

Disliked: One of the reception staff cannot speak English.

Liked: Great location. Friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: No AC. Take this into consideration when staying here in the summer. It was 37 degrees celcius (100F), which made the stay very unpleasant.

Disliked: It was not very clean and not very near town, although it is right on the metro line.

Liked: The reception manager was extremely helpful and friendly. The services were exceptional and the manager was perhaps the best I have encountered the entire 2 and a half months I have been traveling. The service was great.

Disliked: None. Though I wish it were closer to Central Station.

Liked: very good location for sightseeing, especially to museums and old town

Disliked: the stairs are a bit narrow (so a bit scary) but it's manageable

Liked: Really helpful staff, near to the rivers, old town and metro. Easy to access from the airport via public transport. Exactly what we needed for our short stay!

Disliked: We were on the fifth floor, and the spiral staircase could pose a problem for those with mobility problems or a lot of luggage so you might need to state this when booking.

Liked: I just love this place, my third time staying here. It's a central location for the best deal you can find in Lyon. Free internet, comfy rooms, cozy...I just love it. It's not a hotel for a romantic getaway but it works great for backpacking - I didn't like the hostel on the Saone side by the Fourviere...I preferred the walk from Hotel Bretagne.

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: Location was good for the centre of Lyon.

Disliked: The ensuite on our bedroom had a door that didnt close. so you had to hold the door shut while you were on the toilet. We also had no toilet paper for the first day. The bathroom was also the tiniest TINIEST room we have ever seen. The stairwell was unsafe, it was really narrow and winding with no fire exits except for that. Getting our luggage to the fourth floor was a struggle. The sheet did not fit the whole bed, so your feet were touching the bare mattress. The wifi didn't work and when we asked the staff they said their computer was working and shrugged their shoulders!

Liked: Right in the center of Lyon.

Disliked: A little expensive for what we got from a one star hotel. Lock out between 11 and 2 PM is annoying. No kitchen.

Liked: Excelent location close to the historic and interesting parts of the city, good value, staff pleasant, good bathroom.

Disliked: No lift and narrow windy stairs so bear in mind if you're not so fit. Breakfast extra but lots of local alternatives.

Liked: Cheapest accommodation you will find in Lyon, the city which does not seem to have hostels. The location is central, which is great. Close to the metro station, by which you can access the rest of the city. Decent place to crash considering the cheap cost of the room.

Disliked: Room was at the top of a spiral staircase that went up 5 floors; couldn't find an elevator. View was of a rooftop and window was unscreened and dropped 5 floors into a puddle below. Light in bedroom did not work and shower head was broken. Don't stay here if you want to lounge around in a comfortable room; stay here if you just want a place to sleep so you can see the city.
