Liked: It is in an excellent location! Close to the markets, shops and beach. The cleanliness of the hotel is brilliant and rooms modern.

Liked: The location was amazing. The local markets are on every day close to the hostel - great for budget travellers and great to experience in general. Close to port, beach, train stations & everything worth seeing in Cannes. My room (room1) was clean and very compfortable. I am looking for yacht work and it is only a 2 euro train ride for me to get to Antibes to look for work.

Disliked: There wasnt anything I didn't like about my stay. Be aware with directions that the hotel is located in a lane off one of the main streets - ask the locals where the Forville Markets (daily local market) are and you will find Hotel Chanteclair easily.

Liked: Hotel Chanteclair has a terrific location. Next to a daily market, walking distance to downtown and the beach. Philip is a new owner who makes wonderful jam, had towels and mats for the beach and told us of a place to eat that was reasonable and had amazing food. We loved Cannes and our stay at Hotel Chanteclair.

Liked: Down the street from both the train station and the beach. Most friendly man working there.

Liked: Perfect little room, nice for just crashing after a day at the beach, very clean, good bathroom, nice view from the room of a courtyard, nice courtyard, period, free wifi.

Disliked: Wifi was a little temperamental, make sure to shut your windows at night because of mosquitos!!!

Liked: The man who ran it was really nice.He made sure we had everything we needed.The hotel was in a quiet area,and a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Liked: Its very quirky but the new owner is very welcoming and honest that the place has been run down but a spruce up is taking place

Liked: Great location tucked away in a quiet side street and close to the Souque of Cannes in the old town. Easy walking distance to Palais des Festivals and other attractions of the city.

Disliked: Poorly insulated rooms from sound. Sadly this was demonstrated at 3am every morning when a group of young residents were returning from clubbing.

Liked: it was run by a sweet french lady and the garden in the middle of the propery was very quaint, i really felt like i was in the south of france. its clean, always hot water, and very near to the train station, bus station, beach and city

Disliked: its impossible to meet people, more of a quiet relaxing vacation

Liked: location is really good. in the heart of old town, not so far to the sea - 10 min.

Disliked: wet dark rooms. staff doesn t spaek english. a lot of small problems.

Liked: Perfect location in a small and quiet street in great proximity to the beach, shopping and Forville markets.The lady is very friendly and although she can't speak english she does her best to help you out.WIFI available (in room). The little girl is absolutely adorable and so beautiful, Perfectly fitting the French creepiness Amelie captured, she sometimes made me wonder if she was in fact a ghost.

Disliked: The shower within the room didn't have great draining capacity and after one shower the next person had to wait for the water to drain otherwise it would overflow. Not a big deal though. All in all, the place was quite decent.

Liked: It was located in a cute side street but also extremely easy to get to all the main sights: the beach, train station, the old city. It was a small quaint hotel with a helpful owner.

Disliked: It is not a youth hostel. You will not meet people here.

Liked: Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: No air conditioning meant room was very hot at night which together with an uncomfortable bed meant very poor sleep. The in room shower cubicle was basic to say the least.
