Liked: Christian was a wonderful host, immediately telling me all the best sights to see and restaurants to go to. His suggestion of "offset" restaurant was great!! Outstanding service and excellent value cuisine. I also had an issue with a bank holiday in france, he and his wife helped me find a room in a lovely quiet part of paris, when there didn't seem to be a room anywhere!

Disliked: I am a younger traveller and didn't have a chance to meet any of the younger people staying at the hotel. the shower facilities were a touch small for somone as big as me (6 foot 4), and the hose connecting the shower head with the taps had a small but persistent leak.

Disliked: it was far away from downtown and because the buses didn't come by that often and only went until 8pm, I had to take a taxi to get to and from downtown. :(

Liked: Christian (the fellow who runs the place) is always available and very helpful. His advice was invaluable, and he's very friendly. This place was ideal for a stay in Avignon.

Liked: This hotel is very clean und friendly, but you have to go 45 min from the central station of Avignon. The staff is really kind and the rooms are very light and big.

Liked: Hotel Mistral lived up to expectations with extremely friendly and helpful staff/owners, and very clean facilities. The room was a fair size - all that you need - and it's cleanliness was notable. The staff eagerly provided a map and suggestions of what to see in Avignon, and further recommended three beautiful towns to visit nearby that we would have missed otherwise. Hotel Mistral is about a 5 minute drive from the core of Avignon, and road-side parking was safe and convenient our car. We highly recommend this hotel to other travellers!

Liked: The owners of this hostel are very nice, friendly people. We had a great stay. The only cons are that the location is far from the city centre and the buses are somewhat unreliable, so as we didn't have a car it was a little annoying. Also, for the price of it, the breakfast is unremarkable. Other than that, it is a good price, and I would recommend it for its caracter and good service.

Liked: although it was a bit out of the centre after the busyness of a couple of weeks on the move, it was great to spend some time in a place with rooms that were sunny and quiet - with excellent beds!. the owner was lovely and went out his way to be helpful
