Liked: This place had a very nice feeling. It worked out really grest for the four of us travelers as my husband and I hadour own room and the other 2 travelling with us got hostel beds. I really liked the combination or resort/backpackers! The atmosphere was really nice and accomodating as well. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with what ever we needed.

Disliked: the beach was not that nice, the water very murky. Also, there was no shared kitchen, so you couldnt buy your own groceries and make food there. You were required to buy from the resort restaurant or neighboring restaurants (very good food and cheap prices though!). This resort/hostel was also a good distance from town, like 15 minutes by taxi, so to eat/shop off the resort was a bit of a trip.

Liked: Free airport pickup and port denarau drop off. The place was clean.

Disliked: The cleaners turned the lights on at 8.30am in the dorm and started cleaning when people were still in bed. Food is quite expensive.

Liked: great location-right on the beach. stayed in the 30 bed dorm, but wasnt as noisy as you would expect-screened off into 4s with own lockers was good, aircon was a godsend! staff are all really helpful, and there was no problem changing our dates to include a trip round the island in the middle of our stay. The golf course down the road was well worth going to as was very cheap, food in the restaurant was good, and it seemed that lots of people from the other hostels along the road came here of an evening-making it a good atmosphere. cashpoint in the hostel was handy too.

Disliked: More of a flashpackers than backpackers, maybe a little upper scale, not as much character!

Liked: it was on the beach

Disliked: a lot, the staff arent helpfull, I stayed in the dorm which is really hot and stuffy due to lack of windows and unwillingness of staff to turn air con on until 2am! I then moved to private room after getting food poisoning (possibly from their restaurant food) which was infested with bed bugs. Their are loads of hostels in the area which are friendlier with more atmosphere for a hell of a lot less - smugglers is over priced and doesnt capture the fiji feeling at all.

Liked: I loved the beach front location, exellent for sun sets and chill out. The staff where awesome and friendly. Ase at reception was more than helpful during our stay. Good clean rooms for your money. If back in Fiji again i will no doubt stay here again. Bula!!

Disliked: The only thing i can think off would be the internet access. If this was available for free all boxes would be ticked.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful when it came to booking any activities. Accommodation was a great price, breakfast was good and they have a great selection of food for lunch/dinner.

Disliked: The dorms were basic but its what you would expect. The private rooms are not too much more expensive and are well worth the price.

Liked: It is right on the beach where the Mana Flyer leaves and returns to. The Cafe is a lovely new part of the hotel, clean and bright and the food was lovely quality.

Disliked: Our room was over priced as a deluxe triple with ocean view. The room smelled like blocked drains, the third bed was child size in length (we booked for 3 adults) Despite being 'deluxe triple' there were only two cups. The 'ocean view' was 75% car park and 25% ocean if you stood and looked out at the right angle. I was embarassed to have booked this room when it was so shabby. Next door (same hotel, newer part where the cafe is) are new, clean and bright rooms that I would have been happy to pay this amount for. As it was, it was smelly, poort quality, basic and therefore overpriced. If you go there - if you can choose (we weren't offered the option) book a room in the 400s as this is where they are all new.

Liked: Great arrival or jumping-off point from Fiji, as close to the airport with free pickups. Very helpful, friendly staff. Private rooms are really nice and fully equipped with linen, towels, toiletries, TV, tea and coffee, very luxurious for a backpackers!

Disliked: The beach isn't postcard-perfect, but it's still sun, sand, and the Pacific Ocean so you can't go far wrong! Oh, also, the music in the bar/restaurant was pretty dire!

Disliked: Free wifi would be nice, also the bar lady woke me up in the middle of the night because I owed her $5 Fijian. She could have waited till the morning.

Liked: The rooms were very spacious and with lots of daylight. The food in the restaurant was very delicious. The facilities (minimarket, ATM) were good.

Disliked: Unfortunately we had bedbugs in our room. The staff at the reception is sometimes unfriendly. They sell used books in the minimarket.

Disliked: Pricey food I was there when te Tsunami-alarm went of.. The staff just laugh at all the people that were scared, so onproffesional to do!

Liked: Good atmos in the restaurant and bar area. Reasonable prices on the drinks and food. It was raining on my stay so I couldn't be sure, but I think the location on the beach - and therefore views, activities etc - would be great when sun shining.

Disliked: I and the guy paying after me had difficulty settling up our bill on departure - the lady was confused by what was owed after our deposits had been taken by this site. It was quite a party hostel so won't suit everyone. I'm glad I took a private room instead of the super-dorm but it comes at a cost, and also I think the hostel should be more up front about this in its publicity because not all visitors realised it was a 30+ bed dorm until arriving.

Liked: hard to say! nothing perhaps! at first it sounded nice to use the "golf course" for free...but it was just mud and not what you expect as golfcourse...

Disliked: dorm with 34 people...and now i know why everyone tells you to leave Nadi as soon as possible! its just a dirty and ugly place to be! sry, next bus and away from that awefull place
