Liked: Central, clean and comfortable.

Disliked: Fairly expensive to say breakfast wasn't included, but that is what you get with central London.

Liked: Very central and and very close to the underground which makes it ideal for sight-seeing tourists. The room was relatively clean but not what I would describe as homely or even inviting.

Disliked: The room itself wasn't too bad, hardly the ritz but we weren't expecting it to be. The main problem was the staff. Dreadful, unfriendly and totally incompetent are the kindest words I can use. From the moment I stepped in the feeling that the staff were wishing they could be elsewhere (I'm not blaming them) and the fake smile that really tells you that they wish you would p!$$ off and leave them alone. To make matters worse, they tried to tell me I was a liar and make me pay the booking fee that I had already paid to hostelbookers. This took 20 minutes to resolve before they accepted they were wrong and charged me the proper amount. Then when I checked out I was told I had been under charged and that I would need to pay the booking fee. At 5.45am I was not in any mood to negotiate and told the member of staff undisputably that this had been dealt with at check in and that I would not be paying anything as the 10% booking fee had already been paid to hostel bookers, end of story... well actually no. After driving for 8.5 hours home I returned to an email from this disfunctional establishment to tell me that they had charged me the booking fee in my absence as I had been undercharged. To say I was angry is an understatement and the phone conversation I had with the member of staff afterwards was not something I am prud of but it did get me my refund that I was due. To summarise, give these useless incompetents a wide berth and try one of the many other hostels in London a try, I know I will.

Disliked: Bad service from The Staff. They could barely speak english. Only à doublebed in the rooms.

Liked: It was a simple hotel service, good and clean. For entertainment they can invest in a play game area with pool table, play station, pc to surf that's free for the budget traveller. Sky TV type lounge with dvd library would do good for hostel backpackers.

Disliked: nothing I dislike, they just need to invest in entertainment for evenings for us backpackers, good place really.

Liked: In the very heart of London and affordable. Minutes away from Waterloo station so you can go anywhere. Also minutes away from the London Eye and if you cross the bridge you're at Westminster and by Big Ben. Pretty awesome deal, the rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms.

Disliked: No air conditioning in the room and it was really hot. There is a fan provided however. Also, two of the reception staff were really REALLY unfriendly and had some severe attitude problems.

Liked: The hotel is just 2 mins walk from the underground station and it was in a quiet area.

Disliked: The maids knocked on the door twice during the morning to check for housekeeping once just after we had checked in and once at at 9am the next morning. It made us feel rushed to leave when checkout was not until 11, surely they have a list of who has checked out at the front desk.

Liked: Very good location, just out of the main bustle of London. Convenient for tube.
