Liked: Really close to Earls Court Tubestation

Disliked: Third floor room, tiny neverending staircase and I had big luggage. The bathroom is tiny and the bathtub lets you think twice whether you really really need to shower.

Liked: The woman in the office was friendly. The room was bigger than expected.

Disliked: My boyfriend and I were given the keys to a basement room. I was not anticipating this. The lighting and atmosphere were dingy. The bed was miserably uncomfortable and the pillows were rocks. When there was an issue with the boiler, the workers would have needed to enter the boilter room through our bedroom very early in the morning. We were not offered another room. We eneded up staying at a friend's apartment that night and were not offered a reimbursement at all.

Liked: Close to the tube-station. A Sainsbury's supermarket is just around the corner. The house is in a quiet street.

Disliked: We had a fridge in our room which was not clean and the whole kitchenette was not clean. There was a TV in the room, which was one of the first TVs ever and there was a note on it, that "This TV is out of order". It stood on something like a cupboard, but I think if you touch it, it will collapse. The water in the shower was more a drop than a spurt

Liked: The room was large, with a double bed and two single bed, great for families. It was useful to have a kitchen sink and fridge. The hot water for the showers was plentiful. The location was excellent, Waitrose and Sainsburys were a few minutes away and there were loads of restaurants and cafes within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. It was very easy to get to the V and A, Science Museum and Natural History Museum as well as Kensington Park. Tube stations were close by too. The staff were friendly and the room was cleaned and tidied every day.

Disliked: To be honest we didn't dislike much about the hotel. However it is worth pointing out to other travellers that there aren't any common rooms or traditional kitchen facilities. The rooms and the facilities in them are a little old but were fine. Having to eat out for most meals was a pain and expensive in this part of London, but we made good use of the supermarkets for breakfast and lunch.

Liked: Very nice and friendly reception with one fantastic Philippini Lady Leyla, she really helped us with everything! Anwar is an elder building, a place with breath of an old London spirit! Very close to London Underground, few minutes - I would recomend Hogarth Road during the night and the parallel Earl"s Courth Gardens during the day. There is one really nice Market Sainsbury just around the corner, one step away to Cromwell Road (suvenire shops), they are open all the way to the midnight, so you can spend your time in London city longer, as you are welcome to come in Anwar house at any time, you have your own key that opens the main gate! We got new towels and toilet paper every day, even our beds were made when we were back, very nice! So actually, nice low cost place, friendly and safe, clean and thats it! Thats our impression, we will stay there in future for sure! And we will bring one special present from our country for Leyla, nice nice Lady!!

Liked: I planned a budget travel trip with my mom. We were on the 3rd floor, door 14. It was a small cozy room, 2 twin beds, mini fridge, tea maker, kitchen sink and cupboard and a small private bathroom. A large window that allowed fresh air to flow through. They provided a basic room service daily, straightened the bed and bathroom and also changed our towels the 2nd day. The owners were very friendly, though I didn't see them often. The building is quiet. There weren't any screaming, drunk tourists. Very peaceful inside and out in the neighborhood. It is very close to two subway stops, internet cafe and a grocery store. And, it's a nice, short walk from the Royal Albert Hall.

Disliked: It's a bit far from the center of the city, where most of the attractions are...IF walking ad not using the subway. I was budget traveling and we wanted to walk, but found everything else to be a bit far once passed Trafalgar square. There isn't any lift.

Liked: The location is just great, only about 3 min walk from Earl's court station. Big Sainsbury's store is just around the corner, so even tho the hostel didn't serve breakfast it was rather nice buying what you wanted for in the store. Rooms were nice and comfortable enough, tidy although it was clear it's been a while since anything's been done to the rooms. We had a great stay, definitely offered value for the money.

Disliked: There was some uncertainty about the check-out and we felt like the staff didn't really offer us proper instructions. Still everything went well in the end and it was a big bonus that we could leave our baggage at the hostel for the last morning and midday.

Liked: VERY friendly staff! little philipino lady who is there all the time and will hook u up. internet works on the lower levels and it's super close to the tube! i would definitely recommend this to anyone. nice place is a gorgeous neighbor and allows you to get around london very easily. enjoy!

Disliked: i was in the very last room on the top of the hostel. the stairs were a little narrow and no elevator so it made getting to the top a little tough. i had a big bag though, honestly the only bad thing. that and u cant have guests unfortunately. otherwise, awesome!

Liked: The place where it is.

Disliked: Almost everything, starting by the staff. The first moment I was there I was obliged to pay; no problem I thought. I had not cash enough and he charged 3% extra for paying with a debit card. When I was leaving I ask the staff to go to the toilet and he answered me that they do not have public toilets although rooms with shared bedrooms are offered in this hostel. About the room, noisy and not very clean. In short, I do not remember more unfriendly staff in a hostel. (I have been backpacker for long time...). TO BE AVOID!

Disliked: Bathroom was a bit small; could have more power points for charging up gadgets. But other than that nothing much I disliked
