Liked: actually nothing. the only good thing was that the bus stop to east croydon is one minute walk from hotel.

Disliked: Rooms are small, on every corner is dirtyness, mold in a bathroom, around bath tube, toilet, full of dust. it looks like noone cleaned that for years.the carpet was full of chewing gum, dirty windows, stinky bed.

Liked: It wasn't terribly far from anything. A short train ride from the Gatwick Airport and another short ride to Buckingham Palace/Victoria Station.

Disliked: The staff at the desk were useless. The computer/printer that charged 1 pound for 10 minutes didn't print my next flight information. The reception desk worker said we could print off our information from the main computer...and then played on fb chat for 2 hours instead. When we finally did get to use it, he controlled the mouse for the computer, printed off the papers, then answered his cell phone and went and chatted in the office. We had to wait until another employee came by to get the papers from the printer.

Liked: It's worth for price - private double room for price of dorm room in center. Good breakfast, clean place, nice staff... no problems.

Disliked: Neighbourhood seemed to be little bit dangerous but I can't complain and of course little bit far from the center (but it took like 30 minutes to Victoria or London Bridge station so it's not so big deal..). Just it happend me for first time that they blocked money on my credit card before arrival.

Liked: Room was nice and clean. Very helpful staff! Bus stops right in front of the hotel and a good choice of restaurants/pubs 5min away on foot!

Disliked: Maybe a little bit more variety for breakfast! Everything else was great!

Liked: Very piecefull place especially at night. Right opposite the bus stops. Very good to have our own facilities as a part of the room (toilet and bathroom) which was very clean.

Liked: All right, Croydon is far from London, but for our purposes it was a good location. The bus station is just in front of the hotel. It takes you to Brixton in 40 minutes and from Brixton you can take a Victoria line to Central London (in approx.15 min.) The staff is friendly and professional. The cleaning services were excellent. We got what we paid for-double bed, private bathroom, kettle, tea and coffee in the room, clean towels, privacy, security and good night sleep.

Disliked: Tiny room on the top floor with slanted ceiling, which I bang my head against more than once, old decor and no fan in the room in the summer.

Liked: This simple but charming hotel had a very friendly atmosphere. The staff were nice and helpful, We had everything we needed, including a cute little bathroom with a tub, and we enjoyed the free tea and in-room tea kettle! The hotel isn't glamorous, but it has character. We didn't try the breakfast because it wasn't included, but we found plenty of grocery stores, pubs, and take-out places in the area. The only downside was that it took about three hours to get there from Heathrow with the public transportation. We took a cab on the way home, and even that took an hour. It was also about an hour from the city center, by public transit, but not bad for a city as big as London, and considering that we booked less than a week before our arrival. Other than the distance, everything was quite pleasant!

Liked: Location is good enough for the price. You can get to center London by train in 25 minutes or so. its pretty safe and the rooms are great. Complimentary tea and coffee are a good touch.

Liked: Was a little concerned about all the poor feeback on the site but I decided to go ahead and book anyway and glad I did. Granted, it's not the Hilton but nor should it be at £36 per night it's friendly, easy to find, the room was clean and had all amenities such as tea/coffee, tv etc and I cannot grumble. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and eventhough the breakfast wasn't amazing it's nice that they provide it free of charge. I would recommend it. Fear not travellers, it's perfectly adequate.
