Liked: I have many doubts if I like anything...

Disliked: when we arrive at 24 hours there was a party and we had to go into the hotel among all the drunk people. at the beginning nobody was to attend us and after 15 minutes waiting "in the middle of the party" (and really tired of course) we were attended so the wellcome was really bad. there are one guy in the staff that is really nice and helpful but the rest just stay there... we didn't like the place. One thing, if you choose this hostel make sure you arrive early otherwise you can come across with anything!

Liked: Staff was friendly, lobby has free wifi that is reliable for the most part. Pretty comfortable stay for the price.

Disliked: Can hear noise from other rooms, if you don't have loud neighbors its fine but having loud people in the room next to you means difficult sleep.

Liked: Old hotel with atmosphere.

Disliked: Breakfast very frugal. Room clean but would need repair.

Liked: Neighbourhood is nice. The train station is close.

Disliked: There was no toilet brush at all in our private ensuite! The breakfest was all the same on every morning: cereal and jam, it was so boring.

Liked: Service was correct. 24 h. reception. Rooms clean and good maintenance (fresh towels & tea and coffee) Staff were helpful when my wife sprained ankle and needed ice.

Disliked: "continental" breakfast was frugal: jam/marmalade and butter on toast. No wardrobe in room.

Liked: we booked a double room and got our own bathroom - everything was pretty good and because of the fact that it was a small town (crystal palace) there was very little noice the room was big and was cleaned every day around noon

Disliked: for me personally the madres was pretty tough and i could feel the springers - the pillow was hard as well - but if you're not too picky with that you'll be fine

Liked: It was decently clean.

Disliked: Very Far from the center of London. Its about an hour away. From reception to our hotel room was around a 10 minute hike up and down several flights of stairs. Which is not fun with heavy luggage. Also from the train station there is a MASSIVE hill to the Hotel. Its a 15 minute walk to the bus or train station. Very small and old rooms. I could litrully hear EVERY move and murmur of the neighbouring rooms. And the staff weren't very friendly or helpful most of the time and breakfast was either a tiny bowl of cornflakes (cereal) or toast.

Disliked: The cleanliness, paint peeling everywhere and just all round dirty

Liked: This place is slightly outside of the London, but is an easy train ride...plus the area is gorgeous! And a really nice change from the busy city. The bang for your buck is really great. Worth every penny! We even tried to stay an extra night, but they were all booked up. My husband and I were very impressed! AND it was our first hotel of our honeymoon!

Disliked: You have to walk up a rather steep hill from the train station to get to the hotel. HOWEVER, we found out on our last day there that our train passes ALSO work as bus passes! And there's a bus RIGHT outside of the train. Woops!

Liked: the view from the 5th floor

Disliked: the room I was in (14) is right next to the bar and pool room. it IS VERY noisy. a door (at least) should be added at the passage off the "pool Room".

Liked: Breakfast was included, the bar prices were very reasonable, it was well presented from outside.

Disliked: My room was part of an annexe, meaning long walks through corridors and down stairs. It was very cold as the radiator didn't work properly and no thick bedding was provided, The television in my room did not work, the kettle did work however the plug socket was on the floor so would have to put the kettle on the floor. Said plug socket was damaged but functional.

Liked: The bar and activities in the lobby area were ok.

Disliked: The rooms were basic not very clean. The carpet was shredded. The bathroom was dirty and the drain smelt. The radiator did not work which after numerous 'complaints I eventually git a plug in heater which im amazed did not kill me as the electrics are poor that is was causing the unit to keep sizzling then tripping out. Apart from that and ghe poor service I suppose its what you pay for.

Disliked: Everything because we had the worst welcome at all! We had to go through the rubbish dump to our room!

Liked: Relax atmosphere, and people fairly casual. Young crowd, Good place to socialise

Disliked: The room service didn't change our sheets. We could not use a mircowave. there were a construction works and they were working late in the night and very early in the morning
