Liked: All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money - decent breakfast included. We wanted somewhere clean, reliable and affordable for one night and it met our needs perfectly.

Disliked: The outdated decor was not not that attractive but hardly an issue.

Liked: It is very nice hotel, much better than I expected. I booked hotel very late, so I don't expected anything. In fact, the hotel is very nice. I love the swimming pool, breakfast and the tea room. It should have much higgher rate in the hostelbooker!

Liked: have stayed here before and have always enjoyed it!! i think it must have been a very hip and happening place many decades ago and some of the decorating hasnt changed much since then. it could definately use a refurbishment/facelift...but it is reasonably priced (breakfast included) and i would definately stay there again...we used the pool and jacuzzi and pingpong tables all day which was great as it wasnt a very beautiful day..think it is mostly used as a base for pensioner coach trips so lots of them around...
