Liked: It was very clean and the location is quite good. Nice and quiet. The room was good value for money.

Disliked: However, the restaurant is totally overpriced, the food is very average and breakfast was an extra £8 per person or £5 for an ordinary continental breakfast! We made the mistake of having an evening meal which we thought expensive at £15 per person for a couple of vegetable samosas and a rather bland curry. We were therefore totally surprised when the next morning we were charged an extra £5 each because apparently £15 was the price for one course, it was £20 for two courses! So we paid £40 in total for a very average meal indeed! Another problem we had was that we had specifically told the manager that we had a train to catch on the Saturday morning and asked him to book us a taxi for 8.30am, but he failed to inform us that breakfast doesn't start until 8.30 on a Saturday, and so we ended up feeling very rushed and stressed on our departure morning, with no time to enjoy the breakfast we had paid for. He frustratingly wouldn't listen to our request to cancel the breakfast, instead insisting he could prepare it quickly, which he did, but this still left us with very little time to eat it! We would have preferred a refund. Also, when we arrived the window in our bedroom was broken, so we spent the first night with a broken window. This had been fixed by the second night, however no discount was offered for the inconvenience.

Liked: the location was very good but the value for money was terrible. low pressure showers, the noise from the room above was irritating to say the least. the staff were friendly enough and were helpful. over all a nice place but booking ahead with plenty of time before you visit bath i believe you could find better value for money.

Liked: Generally a very pleasant and quiet place to stay. I liked that it was out of the city centre, but an easy and pleasant 10-15minute walk to town.

Liked: Very quaint old fashioned rooms which suited Bath nicely. We didn't have the opportunity to try the spa due to being too busy however the staff did say that it was £6 per hour which I don't remember reading on the website.

Liked: the decor especially downstairs and in the dining area. it was lovely to heve breakfast overlooking the garden. The views from both windows in my room were lovely too. The selection at breakfast was excellent and the quality was as well.
