Liked: Cleopatra Hotel has "hear & soul". Donkey trip to Valey Of Kings etc was dream come true; Village location 10minutes frpom bussel of Luxor by ferry. No Hasel!

Disliked: No Problems; kettle might be nice in room, but omebody always preent to .assist

Liked: The property was at a good location and easy to find. It is ideal for a lone traveler as I was made to feel very welcome from when I was collected from the airport and the transfer is very cheap. The hotel staff have been very helpful from day 1, the food is very nice and cheap and promptly delivered in the rooftop restaurant. I have been asked on several occasion if there is anything that they can help with and I got the impression that I was a welcome guest and not just a room number. Overall my stay has been a pleasurable experience.

Disliked: There has been nothing that I have disliked that has had a negative impact on my holiday

Liked: I must admit, I was actually surprised when I got to the Hotel, it exceeded my expectations, I knew that the Hotel was rather new ( a few years) but the room I stayed in looked like it had just been renovated. I did book a double room for single usage (which was still a great offer) and it had a very nice and large Kingsize Bed. The Desk was wonderful, the tabletop at least looked like it was made of marble with a very large mirror in it. The Paint-job was new, so no cracks or tears in nice warm sand colors (not the typical white) with a good finish. The air-condition unit seemed brand new and as an added bonus the room had a balcony (as far as I could tell all rooms have them), facing Deir el-Bahri. The Roof-terrace was pleasant since it was "roofed", so there was shade. The view was just great, there was only 1 building of about an equal size (without a roof terrace, so it could be overlooked from the terrace) between the Hotel and the Sites on the Westbank. The Staff was friendly and regularly asked if there was something i needed without it feeling forced or looking to make a quick buck. The building itself seemed new and was well kept, it did look as inviting from the outside as it did from the inside. and a general plus is that its located on the Westbank at least for me, the hassle is compared to the eastbank non existent on the Westbank, only at the ferry landing with people wanting to push their motorboat Tip for tourists: a motorboat is 5 LE, make that clear, if they insist that they will take you somewhere else (basically 5 meters down the ferry landing) and want 20 LE or so for it, just tell them no matter where they'll take you you'll only pay 5 LE, enforce that a few times and they'll stop trying to get more cash out of you (obviously you never pay when you enter the boat but after you exited the boat on the other side, if they complain, don't stop, don't look back, just walk away, if they don't follow, the price was indeed correct).

Disliked: The only thing that was a dislike for me, was the location, not that it was far off from the track or anything and they did place signs pointing to the hotel, however during my first night I had trouble finding my way back (which i guess is my fault for not paying enough attention when i arrived). Once I knew my way around the location was fine, its about 5 minutes from the ferry boat (sadly the nile isn't really visible from the hotel) and about 1-2 minutes from the main road where the minibusses drive that take you to the sites. I did notice the barking dog that was mentioned in another review, but i only heard him once or twice in the nearly 2 weeks i stayed there, so for me that wasn't a dislike.

Liked: The staff were very receptive and helpful. They made the effort to make us feel welcome and whenever we had any concerns addressed them straight away. Our guide, Reggae, who also worked with the hotel was knowledgable, extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome during the entire of our stay as did everyone there. Organising tours was no problem at all. Very reasonable rates, nice, if simple breakfast of bread, omelette and fruit. Easy walk on quiet West Bank to get to the ferry to East side to access all its attractions and facilities. The room was spacious, with an attached sitting room and was very well airconditioned. We were welcome to use the communal sitting room and the lovely rooftop terrace with views of the Nile and the Thebes mountains. A good choice if you are looking to stay on the quieter West Bank which we were.

Disliked: This property has apparently only been open a little while and it seems they are still ironing out a few creases. On our first night we noticed a few problems with the bathroom and pillows but these were promptly rectified when brought to the owner's attention. There were also quite a few stairs which might be difficult for some after a long day's sightseeing but not too bad

Liked: Hotel is very clean and hotel. It is in a quiet street and there was no noise. The rooftop are perfect. Staff always friendly and ready to help us.

Liked: The hotel is a really good value for money, the room was very comfortable, quite and absolute joy to be there.the whole staff was super nice and you get what you want as soon as you ask for it-- the daily breakfast was amazing excellent. roof trace.

Liked: It was very convenient for Victoria and the staff were extremely helpful The hotel and the room were clean. Nice paintings around the hotel and in the room the location was very good in the west bank ,Free Wireless + Full breakfast Would definitely stay here again
