Liked: It is has basic accomodation and Egypt breakfast, but good value for money, and Hussein is great, will do everything to help you out, and unlike other places will tell you the truth and how to organize things without pushing any tours on you.

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: cool rooftop terrace the kid who made breakfast and helped with the luggages was really nice

Disliked: it was not abundantly clean crappy bathroom uncomfortable beds "empty" room, practically no furniture just the bed and one wardrobe.

Liked: Location

Disliked: Pretty much everything. It's filthy and spartan. The owners only care about you if you do their tours. If you don't do one of them, they take no interest in you whatsoever. I was also forced to move to a room that contained one bed, and that's it. Very depressing place. Best to avoid.

Liked: the price first, the location (just near the train station) second, the staff third (with a welcome tea at 2.00 am)

Disliked: old hostel with no confort. Good for only one night or when you arrive in the night

Liked: friendly atmosphere where the staff were not hassling you to do their tour packages. It was great location, 2 minutes next to the train station and a local 'juice bar' just a corner away with this amazing sugar cane drink. The rooms were decent and great value for money. We also sorted ourselves a hot air balloon ride over Luxor with the hotel and it was a great experience!

Disliked: there wasnt an elevator, after a few flights of stairs with a big bag it does get quite tiring

Liked: The hotel is in a hidden alley. The staff is friendly but I didn't see too many people staying there. The room was ok and it did have an A/C and a fan.

Liked: that is was veary cheap to stay there and the food (dinner two times, vegetarian and with meat) was veary tasty and not espensive :)

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at the New Everest Hotel. The staff was friendly, especially Ragab. He was by far the best guide we had in all of Egypt. It has a central location, and is quiet. The rooms were quite basic, and it was impossible not to flood the bathroom when you had a shower due to a lack of shower curtains. The rooms did have air con, but they weren't working when we were there.

Liked: Very friendly staff!!! Very close to train station. Clean rooms, close to nile, good restaurants around the hostel. Has a room terrace with drinks! Breakfast is very good and I would recommend to others.

Liked: The Hotel is really nicely decorated (well, the bits that are finished) once you get past reception. We were a bit daunted to arrive and discover that reception was a building site, although the work progressed quite quickly during our stay so I shouldn't wonder if it'll be finished quite soon. There is no lift and it's 54 stairs to the thrid floor which can be a bit onerous after a heavy days sightseeing. The rooms are basic but clean, the bathroom had a bit of a drainage issue, but that's no big deal, the hotel and surrounding areas are also prone to power cuts but there're plenty of places to spend your evenings. The hotel location is a bit alarming to begin with and the neighbours are NOT quiet, but it's a place to rest your head at the end of the day. We didn't try breakfast, but the roof terrace is lovely and shady, nice seating and the views are nice from there. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the train station and nicely located on a main street between the train station and Luxor Temple.

Liked: We only have good things to say about New Everest Hotel! The rooms are great value, very clean, and central location. The roof terrace is a great place to relax after a busy day in Luxor (which can all be arranged-hassel free-by the hotel). We were continuing our travels through the Middle East, and Raggea helped with our onward journey - excedding expectations. Just ask for Raggea!

Liked: The location was nice. Very near the train station and the Luxor Temple/Nile. Make sure you know where it is--a little off the path. Friendly staff. They are very willing to find you a way around the city/sites. Definitely take a Felucca ride at sunset. We had only booked two nights initially, but booked a third with no problem from the staff. All-in-all a good deal.

Liked: It was a very very pleasant stay for me! the stuff arrenged me everything on the tour in Luxor at the low budget, also they treated traditional tea and food for free...though I didnt get used to using how to use the door lock lolclose to the station, juice stand just around corner, everything is so close!If you are looking for a low-budget nice hostel, why dont you come to this place? ^^
