Dahab is not as developed as other Red Sea resorts and still maintains a vibrant local culture. The many bars and restaurants offer a wide variety of options for the visitor but do not detract from the fact that this is still a Bedouin settlement where many people wear traditional dress and even go about their daily business by camel!

As well as offering diving at our dive club, Divers Down Under, we organize snorkeling trips and safaris to places such as Mt Sinai, St Catherine's monastery, the Coloured Canyon, plus many others.

Dahabs is a place who's name means simply "gold" in Arabic, is positioned on the Gulf of Aqaba at the northern end of the Red Sea. For many years Dahab was only known to independent travelers but now has become famous for its beautiful, mountainous, desert scenery which is in stark contrast to the vibrant corals and teaming aquatic life in the warm clear waters just meters from the shore which offer world class diving and snorkeling.
