Liked: The staff are all friendly and dedicated to making your stay a pleasant one. The discount arrangement with a nearby restaurant adds real value, particularly as the food there is very good.

Disliked: The central location is good, but it does mean that you may suffer from club music at night and mosque harmonics in the morning.

Liked: Great value for money, owner very friendly and organised tours and gave discounts for restaurants. TV in room and included breakfast which was good.

Disliked: Location very central, but not on the beach but for the money is vrey good value.

Liked: The staff are really friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The hotel is lovely, big ensuite rooms, and a pool to laze around. There's loads of free stuff included- bottles of water, tea and coffee, pool, table tennis, fast wifi in the rooms. It's right in the middle of Dahab, just 2 minutes walk and you're on the sea front. We'd definitely come and stay here again.

Disliked: It can be quite noisy at night- the cats yowled for hours the first night we were here. They also seem to have a policy of not cleaning rooms or bathrooms unless you ask, which I'm sure they'd be very happy to do, but don't expect them to do it automatically.

Liked: Amad, the owner, is just amazing!! He's so devoted to make your stay the most enjoyable ever! You get free laundry, wifi, tea, coffee, water, breakfast, there's a swiming pool, a mini fridge in the room... But overall, it's one of the best places to stay in Dahab!! Would defenetly go back!!

Disliked: The only thing that they could work on, are the bathrooms.

Liked: this place is run by the nicest people imaginable, free turkish coffee (the best i've had so far), free tea, free wifi, sparkling clear pool, fridge and water in rooms... clean and relaxing. i could have stayed forever.

Liked: Emad, the owner, a great guy aswell as the rest of the family & staff. The fellow Guests, met some very interesting people from all over the World & Egypt. The pool, sunbeds, seating area. Easy & friendly atmosphere, nothing was a problem or too much trouble. Value; all drinking water, tea, coffee, laundry, good breakfast (at a choice of two favourable local restuarants). Cleanliness; always immaculately clean & tidy Fridge & Aircon a real asset. Location is fantastic, close to all, but very quiet. TV was an added bonus.

Disliked: As with everywhere in Egypt, to a greater or lesser extent; plumbing, electrical sockets. The form, function, reliability, & finnish of anything and everything varies constantly, but hey this is Egypt, not Europe, North America, or similar.

Liked: The owner Imad is very friendly. Anything you need he can help you with. The staff are great and provide 24 hr security. Great location and very relaxing when I was there. Dont expect the Ritz however inside the hotel you feel you could be in any beautiful resort the courtyard has great charm. Much nicer than the camp style accommodation on offer in Dahab. These guys work very hard to please and it must be the best value for money accommodation that I've stayed in. We may be back there soon. James

Disliked: no real dislikes for me. My room had fairly low water pressure but it was adequate for me. Water is scarce in the desert so it's good to be sparing and try not to use to much during your visit.

Liked: Great place we stayed for 6 nights, in a great location, Mr Amad (the owner) is a friendly, likeable character. He really wanted you to feel at home. The rooms are all good for the price, nothing flash, good pool, and great free breakfast at Mr Amads restaurant down on the waterfront. Free wifi, free laundry and free shisha are all awesome extras to have!

Disliked: Considering there are 3-4 people working at the hotel 24/7 it was pretty rough around the edges, we moved rooms whilst we were there and it seemed apparent the guys don't like cleaning the bathrooms... the rooms were clean however they never changed the sheets or towels the whole 6 nights, not sure if that was us not asking or whether they just don't do it but we found it odd for a hotel.

Liked: The place is just about 100m away from the main strip: not too far away at all but far enough to be a quiet place for travellers who enjoy sleeping at night. Staff/the family running the business is awesome, place is clean and free bottled water, laundry service and breakfast is great. I found that booking the trips was done easily just by mentioning about them at the front desk and the prices were average or below standard rates.

Disliked: The mattresses were a bit too worn at my room but nothing too serious. The price of the room is not the cheapest compared to other places but on the other hand you can be sure to get what you pay for.

Liked: Amed & staff as helpful as you wanted the to be. This hostel is very much based on personal requirements, if you want left alone you are and if you want interaction its there when needed.Amed provides water, tea etc for guests at no extra charge which all adds to doing that extra bit for the cost of B&B....fantastic value for money.

Disliked: Bathrooms are basic but function fully, they need a bit of tlc.

Liked: The customer service was the best I encountered in Egypt and is excellent by any standard. It's one of the best value for money budget hotel I have stayed at in all my travels in a total of 75 countries over the years.The owner, Emad is a fantastic guy, extrovert with a brilliant sense of humour and he goes out of his way to help his guests. If you ask for advice on trips, he will honestly give you the various options available from the cheapest to the most expensive, from the least convenient to the most comfortable. The other staff are also helpful.The website said free laundry available and I thought this just meant a washing machine for free use. In fact, amazingly, you get your laundry handwashed, ironed and returned to you for free!The hotel is well-maintained and rooms are clean. Breakfast is included in the room price and is in a restaurant on the beach, about 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

Disliked: There is nothing I disliked but there are some cats roaming around and those who dislike cats may not feel comfortable. I left my door slightly open once and next thing, I saw a cat making itself at home on one of the beds in my room!

Liked: Room large and clean, lovely balcony, nice pool/communal area. Manager and his family very welcoming and friendly. We booked 1 night and stayed for 10!

Disliked: Noise from the road on the front rooms can be a bit loud, and windows don't really protect against mosquitos.

Liked: After spending a week in Dahab and seeing other hostels and locations it was clear the Dahab Plaza Hotel was the best. The best value for money ive had my entire travels! exceptional service. Free water, amazing breakfast, washing, wifi. Great location!!! LOVED THIS PLACE!!!

Liked: Emad the owner is more helpful than any other hotel manager I have ever come across- he exhibits true Egyptian Hospitality!When I was feeling unwell with a cold he went out to get me cold & flu tablets himself; every day he goes out of his way to help you with any need that may arise either in our out of Dahab.The wi-fi is brilliant and you can enjoy shisha, cold water & herbal teas complimentary any time of the day.

Liked: The pool and breakfast are great, the staff are also super.

Disliked: To improve I wud have bikes to rent for the guests as well as snorkels and fins. Glasses in the rooms wud also be useful!

Liked: Emad is really helpful and will sort out transport, trips etc at good prices. Hotel is clean, but fairly basic. Mattresses and showers are somewhat worn, but that is only a minor issue! Good aircon, fridge, tv, FREE water, internet use etc all really good. First time I stayed in a room not near the road, these are MUCH quieter than the roadside rooms(but dont have the view of the desert) Road noise and mosque are fairly high from road rooms, but this can´t be helped as location is great, very close to cheap restaurants, shopping area, and main nighttime beach area. Short walk to Lighthouse reef, where you can get an AMAZING breakfast from the Fresh Fish restaurant included with this hotel. Same Same brekkie is also available free, but isn´t as good, however location is close to hotel and if you ask night before they will open early for you to have brekkie before getting bus, trip etc. Work being done, which should make the place very nice indeed.

Liked: The owner and his staff is very helpfull and friendly. The prize is good and you get some really nice breakfeast at the 2 resturants you can chose from, which is encluded. While me and brother was there, new stuff was getting added so it seems like it's only getting better.

Liked: Very reliable, extremely accomodating, amazing atmosphere in a beautiful setting, best (beach front) breakfasts, gorgeous views of Sinai Mountains, very clean & comfortable rooms. Travelling across Egypt for one month this was definitely our best stop, we came back and stayed for another 2 nights. 100% YES!
