Liked: The location was excellent,it was in the city center in an area called Garden City and exactly beside Four Seasons Hotel and Grand Hyatt Hotel so its a very well known place and all taxi drivers recognize it, its near to all vital areas in Cairo, the building has many offices and the floor which the hotel was at is beside the office of Military Attaché of the Embassy of Italy, security guards are all over the place so it was a safe place. Price is very suitable for who is considering a business trip not a leisure trip, its a good place if you want only to sleep or rest in your room. the breakfast was nice, they have two types of breakfasts (intercontinental and traditional) they serve you the breakfast to your room or you can eat it in the reception lounge. Rooms are nicely furnished.

Disliked: at my first couple of days the cleaning of my room was not good, however it got better after I complained about it for many times and also requested to change the sheets and the linens every day until I got soft ones. there is no Iron and ironing table in the room, you have to request it and then turn it back and there is no ironing table, no hair drier nor water boiler or complementaries (coffee, tea, sugar packs or water in the fridge).

Liked: I enjoyed my stay at Nile Season hotel very much, thanks to its excellent manager and staff. The hotel owner is Hani, a very kind, friendly and helpful man who really helped me at his utmost. He arranged free airport pickup for me, taxis to anywhere in the town, and also, if you are willing to, the tour throughout egypt at very good price. He even let me to use their facilities (shower, bathroom, internet, dining room) when i were not staying at the hotel like on the evening of travelling and leaving. Needless to say the staff here are excellent. Ahmed, a friendly local guy speaking good English, showed me around the hotel to know the place and took me to train station. He also gives many invaluable information of travelling in Egypt. During my stay in Cairo this small, family- style hotel really really makes me feel home in a strange country. You will meet alot of travellers all over the wolrd here, sitting together in the living room, chatting, drinking, and laughing together with the hotel staff - very casual and relaxed.About the location and hotel facility:When you first arrive and seeing the streets nearby, don't be disappointed by the dusts and mess, this is Cairo, you will see this almost everywhere in the city. In spite of this, this hotel is in great location facing the river nile - it is within 5 minutes walk to Canadian and us embassies, to the wellknown 5 star hotel "four season", 10 minutes walk to metro(tube) station. The hotel is on top of large bank, very good safety. The rooms are very clean, the best i've seen in Egypt (except some 5 start top range) , even when comparing to 4 stars, there is very nice lcd tv in the lobby with excellent football channel. Tours Hani offered good value tours to me, this include tours around Cairo, and also anywhere in Egypt. He works with good companies, the tour guide speak good English, and are very kind and friendly too.
