Liked: very charming ol building..but funky inside...large rooms comfy beds wonderful very helpful staff............

Disliked: hard pillows....no big deal....no toilet paper or towels...

Liked: Staff was extremely hospitable and helpful. Brought in 15 other travelers after my stay booked here and we all stayed at the African Hostel cheaply. They allowed us to put 9 in a 3 bedroom so that the students could save money for future travels as this was the first stop on a 50 day trek across to Istanbul.

Liked: It was what being in egypt is all about..eclectic,dusty,noisy,unusual building,lift,....good breakfast,helpful staff,huge room (with rock hard pillows & leaking bathroom ceiling!)...free internetdefinate value for the money...would return & recommend to the budget traveller

Liked: The best hostel i have stayed in cairo.Cheap and clean and the best staff you can find in egypt,perfect speaking english, polite and helpful.Free big map is super help.Very good breakfast.High recommended for budget travelers.

Liked: The staff here are amazing. Always happy to help with everything. They provide trips, air port pick ups and anything else you ask for. They stored our bikes for a week while we travelled around egypt.

Liked: The location of the hostel is great, in the middle of downtown. The staff there is also perfect. The guys give you all the help you need and a very nice support. They have tours to the points of major interest and always answer your questions very friendly and paciently! And they have free tea!!. I would definitely stay there again if I went back to Cairo. Highly recommended!
