Liked: Roof terrace was a nice place to hang out and TV in the room and free wifi was a bonus. Rooms were nice and clean and felt safe and secure. In terms of location, there's a couple good resturants nearby and Zamalek is quieter than many places in Cairo. Eyptian museum and Tahrir Square are just about within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: As normal in Egypt, there was a bit of hard sell from our airport pickup driver and on arrival by staff to try and arrange trips to Alexandria and other places.

Liked: Zamalek is a good location and the hotel is well situated for seeing Ciaro. Ask for a room away from the traffic noise and be warned there is a mosque nearby, so it can be quite loud at prayer times. The hotel itself was fine for this price range.

Disliked: The staff are fine for general reception services. When it comes to travelling around, it is much better value to use the white, checked cabs (which have metres) rather then use hotel organised cars. The cabs are easy to catch on the main road thats about 20m up from the hotel. Do book their cab from the airport to the hotel if its your first time in Egypt. Also, try and have exact change for the drinks and computer use, unless you're happy to give away the rest as a tip for the staff.

Liked: En excellent hotel! Centrally located in a pleasant part of Cairo. Staff was friendly and helpful. Spacious, clean rooms. Excellent value for money!!!

Liked: Good location. Helpful staff who arranged quality transfer to the airport...much better than flagging down one of the taxis! Clean rooms, some better than others for size etc. Lovely terrace.
