Disliked: Orribile hotel: old, dirty, noisy, not recommended!

Liked: The Egyptian fare at breakfast was delicious and authentic. The best hotel breakfast in our entire Egypt trip.

Disliked: Though the view was incredible, I generally dislike staying in a tower hotel. That being said, the view really was incredible so I put aside my bias.

Liked: The hotel is in a location very convenient to boat docks for islands and has nice views of the Nile river.

Disliked: I feel that the staff here was not trustworthy when seeking information and prices - their main concern was selling their own services, which were ridiculously overpriced. They quoted us 30 Egyptian pounds for train station pick up, and we ended up taking our own cab for 10. They quoted us 80 pounds for airport transfer, and the taxi cost us 45. They have two computers, but, again, rip you off at 20 pounds an hour - ridiculously expensive by Egyptian standards. The room was a bit dingy and the bathroom could be cleaner.

Liked: very clean, spacious, good firm bed, good water pressure & hot water, clean bathroom & LOCATION (Nile River view from our window).

Liked: The staff is helpful and friendly, many rooms have a small balcony all seem to have a Nile view. The breakfast is fine, the rooms clean and in good shape. I will book it again. The location couldn't be better.

Liked: The location is good - right by the Nile in central Aswan. However the rooms are noisy due to thin windows and lots of traffic below. Breakfast is very limited and served late. Very much the feel of a hostel not a hotel, Full payment is expected on check in (rather than when checking out as usual) and only cash USD, EUR and EGP are accepted.

Liked: The staff was very, very helpful! They accommodated us on short notice and arranged taxis (fair prices) so we didn't have to haggle with drivers. We live here in Egypt and found this one of the friendlier and more helpful cheap, basic places to stay! Clean rooms/breakfast area and amazing views of the beautiful Nile and Elephantine Island from all rooms. Oh, and breakfast was good and basic too- foul and falafel! If you don't expect lots of frills, this place is great.

Liked: - Location is good. Provides short distances to LOcal Ferry Site to Elephantine , Nubian Museum and the corniche

Liked: Loud traffic noise all night, staff could use brain transplant. Be careful in Aswan they try to take a advantage of tourist at every turn.

Liked: on the nile with a great view from our window. The showers had plenty of hot water but we found it to be oppressivley small and the shower head wouldn't stay upward so we had to hold it to use it. Breakfast was interesting definately not western style and they say the resturant it open 24 hours but we went down to it twice and couldn't find anyone to make us any food. The rooms were immacuately clean and well kept and the hotel is very safe. The view from the roof was amazing. I would stay there again and would recommend it to friends. The staff was truely helpfull setting up tours and guides.

Liked: Great location opposite the Nile and attractions. Has a fridge in the room so you can stock up on water (buy from local shops) for the day ahead if visiting during the summer months.Tours arranged in the hostel are not all inclusive - entrance to the attractions are separate, so check what you are actually getting before arranging.
