Liked: Hotel Sun Beach in Salinas has a pool and air conditioned rooms, which makes for cool comfort in the warm coastal weather. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the shower had both hot and cold water.

Disliked: Our room had a slight ant infestation. The snacks we had in our room were covered with ants within an hour. The hostel is a bit far from the action as well, about a 10 - 15 minute walk. This isn't really a problem if you don't have any valuables on you and make the walk, so long as it is before dark. A taxi shouldn't cost more than $1.50 each way though.

Liked: The hotel was clean with A/C The price was good for basic rooms.

Disliked: The location is not very close to anything.

Liked: Affordable and Practical. It is a 30 minute walk to the beach, for those interested. There are stores nearby to purchase small things, such as sun protection, water and snacks, laundry nearby, and it is easy to catch a bus to go places, but the staff were not overly helpful. There is also a nearby restaurant which is convenient and with great food called Linda´s.

Disliked: Shelley left no negative feedback.
