Liked: Looked good on the website, thats about it!

Disliked: Not only were we moved to another complex when we checked in, but even after showing the person at reception our receipt fro hostel bookers on how much we owed, we were over charged but were told we could pay it at anytme. So we left it for the next day when we went and got some Czech currency and worked out that it was 1,770 coronas more than what we were meant to pay. After bringing it to their attention they said it was just a mistake. So we let it slide. As for our stay it got worse from there. The washing machine did not work properly and while out on our 2nd night having dinner, we returned to find a note on our door saying we had to be out by 11am the next morning due to renovations getting done (pretty sure it needed none that urgently to kick people out during their stay) So we returned to the main building to complain only to have the girl at reception say there was nothing she could do. We told her to call the manager which again got us no-where. We told the manager we want to be checked into another place as soon as we leave which she was against but seeing as tho we had already paid for 3 nights, why should we be out on the street until check in time. We ended up going to a hotel for our last night, but the inconvience they caused and the fact that they didnt care what so ever about how it effected us left us wit bitter feelings about the place. It was obvious they had over booked (prague marathon was on the day after we left) and we were the one with the raw end of the deal. They are not professional in what they do nor do they have any customer service skills.

Liked: Location to Old Prague. You are less than 5 minutes walk to Charles Bridge one way and 10 minutes to the Astronomical Clock the other way.

Disliked: No fire escape. We were on the top floor with no way out except down the stairs. I don't think that anyone actually uses the kitchens as all the drawers were empty. I had to go next door to light their stove for them as it wasn't working properly. If you eat out a lot then stay here. It's fine. If being on the fifith floor with no way out makes you nervous then find somewhere else. Make sure you read up on where to do your laundry in Prague as it's not simple.

Liked: We had a great appartment on the 4. floor for 8 person. The location is brilliant, everything is 5 min walk. The flat is equipped very well. Good Wifi.

Disliked: The description mentioned hairdryer , iron and ironing board but you have to ask for them at reception.

Liked: Perfect location, 3-5 min walk from Charles Bridge and the old town square. Staffs are friendly and supportive. The room is fairly clean with large wardrobe and locker.

Disliked: The hotel is located on a busy street with many restaurants and bars, hence it is still fairly noisy outside at midnight.

Liked: Fantastic location. Adequate, comfortable rooms. Shared kitchen. the staff were very helpful and kind. free wifi.

Liked: The hostel was nice, very clean and very spacious. A great breakfast is provided and the staff is very nice and very helpful. Close to lots of shops and super markets.

Disliked: I thought I had booked with Royal Road Residence, however when I got there they told me I was booked with their associated hostel Yan's Hostel which was another 15 walk away and not as close to the Old Square and some of the sights.

Liked: Loved absolutely everything. Amazing location, clean rooms, super helpful staff, didn't have the breakfast but it looked like a good spread. Loved that it wasn't a party hostel yet it was still easy to meet people. Everything was great.

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: Clean and Spacious room.

Disliked: We booked this hostel because it's located very near old town in the map. But we have been transfered to other building which is 20min away by walk or 2 metro stations from old town. Also, the hot shower in the room was malfunction. It worked only few minute and we have to shower in 15c water. The staff doesn't have service mind as we expected.

Liked: The location is fantastic! It's within 2 minute walk from Old Town Square and Charles Bridge! The stuff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms an bathrooms are always clean. All in all, a great place to stay at!

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: I must give this hostel a highly negative rating because upon our arrival we were informed that due to a "water issue" our room wouldn't be available and that we would have to stay at an alternate location. When asked why they didn't call to inform me of the problem they had no answer, and the lady was simply rude and dismissive of my question. She kept saying, "You were not a last minute booking so there is nothing we could do." I never figured out what exactly that meant, but when asked how long the problem with the "water" had been going on, she said point blank, "Two weeks," to which I exclaimed, "I only made the reservation 5 days ago!!" So, apparently this "water problem" had been going on for 2 weeks (if that is the truth, which I doubt) and they were still advertising room availability on HostelBookers. What seems to make more sense, is that they are overbooking there rooms, and then shoving people off to an "alternate location" (a place I'm sure they're either partnered with or own outright). The lady was so rude about us having to stay at the alternate location too (we had picked this residence specifically for it's location and didn't want to stay 10 blocks away). She kept saying, "It's still in the city center and rooms are comparable." So finally, we no other option in sight, we left for this "alternate location." We didn't even go inside. The place was in the ghetto on a back street 20 minutes walk from the main attractions. Barred walls and graffiti was all that greeted us, and there was NO WAY we were going to walk down the dark back alleys to get to this out-of-the-way place after dark. Of course we were both pretty upset because all we were trying to do was get checked in and head out to explore. Not a nice way to start a vacation. We went back to the location of the hostel to try and find another place to stay. Thank heavens, another hostel, "Ritchie's Youth Hostel," was right next store (in the same GREAT location), and they had availability. We stayed there and it was perfect! I do not recommend this hostel to ANYONE (stay at Richie's instead) because even though the place itself may be nice (I wouldn't know) you may get there and find out they overbooked (a.k.a "water issue") and you'll either have to stay 20 minutes away in some seedy place or have to pray that Ritchie's has availability. Good Luck!

Liked: the location is EXTRAORDINARY.... the staff is great... u don't get to spend too much time in the hostel seen the amout of things u have to do in prague... i recommend this place

Liked: breakfast is ok

Disliked: I booked "Royal Road Residence" and they told me that I have to go to "Yan's Residence" (10 min from center) because "Royal Road Residence" is under reconstruction!! Also beware they prices are in DOLARS and they have their "OWN" exchange rate to Euro and Czech Koruna! be careful!

Liked: The cleanliness was good and the breakfast was OK.

Disliked: We got disappointed cause they tried to cheat on us with the money change! They would like to charge us, calculating the rates in dollars and changing into czk with such a low rate!! I think they thought that cause we came from Spain we wouldn't realized the "mistake" with the dollar quote. Once we realized we went back to complain and they charged us in euros without any problem...... Smart Guys!!!! o_O Actually that wasn't the only experience with intents of cheating on the city...

Liked: Everything! I would give it 150° if possible. After so long on the road it was great to find a place where I could feel so at home.
