Within walking distance from the resort you will also find the ancient ruins of the kingdom of Lambousa (translates as –the shining one-) dating back to the 8th Century B.C. The kingdom of Lambousa was founded by the Phoenician traders and remained until the Christian era, when groves and mulberries fed a very profitable silk industry. The foundations of a lighthouse, sea-water fishponds and a portion of the city’s wall have survived from the 6th century Byzantine town.

Kyrenia is home to more than 60 restaurants and 30 cafes and bars, offering menus and food from more than 10 countries and regions. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel entrance where buses are running into Kyrenia on a regular basis.
