Liked: Boris, the owner, is a real character - he's a really helpful guy. Although out of town a bit it's in a beautiful location with its own jetty and small beach with amazing views. Boris will always try give you a lift into town if he's around so don't worry too much about the location. Boris also has a boat to hire (it's basic but did the job) and also a scooter if you feel a bit cut off because of the location

Disliked: When we arrived Boris had no knowledge of our booking at all (apparently due to hostelbookers), we had to move 3 times in 3 nights and even spent a night in his own personal apartment. The cleaning lady is VERY RUDE and kicked us out of our room one morning to move someone else in but did not have another room for us to move to. Villa Sole is a bit like Fawlty Towers, if you can see the funny side you'll have a great time. If you get annoyed by incapable people, booking errors and having to move room it's probably not for you.

Liked: Well, we had a nice terace (without electricity) and we did have a beach.The housekeeper lady was kind, unfortunately she only speak croatian :-)

Liked: The purpose of our holiday was to relax. This was fully fulfilled with the most amazing views on offer from the sea facing rooms. As two adults, the lack of facilities was not as important as those with a young family. The nearest shop/small supermarket is a very good 20 minute walk up hill. The staff, however, were very accomadating and would help out whenever possible. The quirkiness of the villa actually grew on us and was viewed with humour, however, this attitude was not shared by everybody. As such, we would recommend the villa but with reservation depending on apportionment of accomadation booked.Personally we would return as the stay was very enjoyable.
