Disliked: Very dated, tired and old. Would be ok if price reflected what you get....it doesn't!!

Liked: Location was good if you are after beach and other tourists. There were some really nice concrete plateaus along the coast were you could find some privacy. Two restaurants worth mentioning are pizzerias "Scala" and "Nemo problemo" even though we didn't eat their pizzas! The food was great in both of them.

Disliked: The hotel has a new and an old part. Apparently booking a room from hostelbookers gets you to the old part which has almost nothing to do with the actual Adriatic hotel. The old part is an expensive hostel. They do change the worn out towels every day and the modest breakfast is included, though.

Liked: situation close to beach and restaurants, and shops, also handy bus stop for regular bus to Old Dubrovnik

Disliked: In the annex, where we stayed, the rooms had no aircon or balconies. OK they were cheaper than new part of hotel which does have aircon and balconies, but at the very least, rooms should have been equipped with a fan. Ours facing the the front of the hotel and overlooking the sea were stifling hot, making it very difficult to sleep. Breakfast in hotel restaurant just about passable but usually consisted of cold scrambled eggs and smoked sausages. No choice of tea with milk for english travellers.
