Liked: Didnt want to rent the room to me at first even though I booked in advanced, refused to tell the taxi driver the address and the woman was very hostile to me when speaking over the phone. Managed to get there eventually and then the same woman managed to get me a room, not the kind of room I booked and refused to refund the booking fee.

Disliked: The area is very gray, the room itself was OK but you can get the same kind of room a lot cheaper in Shenzhen

Liked: The room was great, like a four star hotel whit lot of space.Staff can not speak English.Noisy night, because the taxi driver always horn!

Liked: The room itself was surplus to requirements. Bathroom even had a hairdryer. Towels provided. Kinda like a 3 star hotel at least. Internet provided. Comfortable.What I didn't like? Hotel staff overly zealous in doing their jobs. They cleaned my apartment one day taking my box of instant coffee sachets and my ear-sticks without my permission. Sure, they have to tidy my apartment, but don't take my stuff!! The location is good though. Word of warning. The english speaking woman you speak to on the phone, I never spoke to her at the hotel during the 6 or so days I stayed there. And, she sends you a very confusing map via e-mail in order to find her hotel. It's upside down!! North is south and south is north. This isn't made clear on the map. The taxi driver was confused when he took me to the place from the train station. He took a wrong turn. I don't blame him When I went exploring the city, the night I arrived, I ended up going north when I thought I was going south towards Luohu border crossing.If you don't speak any Chinese, you're going to have real problems communicating, especially if you encounter an emergency or something unexpected happens. The receptionist girl wasn't very helpful to me at all, insisting I pay extra money for my deposit some days after I arrived. One example. I ended up staying 6 days or so however because the location is great. Very near Luohu border crossing. Great place to start an exploration of Shenzhen.
