Xidi Travel Lodge has kept the traditional Ancestral Halls, Commemorative Arch, “Paifangs”, “Horse head” walls and built with the state-green shingles to preserve the accent of southern Anhui architecture and to complete your cultural experiences. When you enter the Xidi Travel Lodge, museum of Ming/Qing residential houses, you will definitely experience the authentic southern Anhui culture.

Xidi Travel Lodge housed forty-eight nicely decorated guest rooms equipped with modern comfort, a local Huizhou cuisine restaurant accommodates up to 150, a coffee shop, the "Scholar's four jewels" exhibition hall and Arts & Crafts display corner.

Xidi served as the “caravanserai” in the ancient times. The descendants left behind from the Lee Tang dynasties were relocated to Anhui province and subsequently extended to Xidi. They changed their names to “Wu” and borned quite a few great names in history.

Location Information

Situated in Anhui Province, Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is famous for its statuesque mountains and rich cultural heritage. The beauty of Huangshan lies in its "four wonders": pine trees with shapely foliage, rocks in a hundred and one images, an ocean of clouds, and hot springs. Since 1990, Huangshan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China's major tourist destinations.

Huangshan is easily accessed from cities like Shanghai, Hangzhou and Wuhu via train and air. Xidi Village (???), is located at the foot of Huangshan, around 50 kilometers from the Huangshan city center, 20 kilometers from the famous Huangshan tourist attractions. There are 122 old dwellings built in the Ming and Qing dynasties can be found in Xidi Village.

Further down Xidi Village, you will find Hong Village (??) and Tunxi Ancient Street. The street is about 1500m long with 2 rows of shops and stores on both sides. All the houses were built with bricks and wood in a typical local architectural style.
