Liked: Great location (next to Guangzhou train station). Good for those with a late flight, as the airport bus stops at the Civil Aviation office beside the train station. The hotel is right behind the Civil Aviation office.

Disliked: Those who are sensitive to noise may not like the rooms facing the train tracks as the passing trains are pretty loud. The furnishing looks old.

Liked: Great location if you have a train to catch. Big room. Internet in the room. Generally pretty clean.

Disliked: Not a good location if you want to explore Guangzhou. Main road is difficult to cross and the train station/metro is super busy all the time. Kind of felt trapped here. Recommend this place only for one night to clean up before a long train ride.

Liked: Good quality for money. Much more spacious than I expected considering rooms tend to run on the smaller side in China.

Disliked: The staff was not very helpful with questions and one man was a little rude. He didn't quite get what I was saying in English so I switched and tried to explain in Chinese. He got indignant though and and said with a sneer that I could speak English. However, none of the staff understand much.

Liked: The only positive thing is the location.

Disliked: De beds are extremely hard, the showers are old and dirty and we got a twin room while we ordered a double.. No value for money!

Liked: The staff were busy but helpful. The rooms are very spacious with a mini fridge and wifi. It is a three minute walk from the Guangzhou Railway Station. Good for a one night stopover. We booked for 2 nights and stayed only one.

Liked: Great for bus transfer from the airport. The bus is available all night (until last flight comes in) and costs 16 rmb. The last stop is right next to the hotel - you will see the v8 sign (2 minute walk). As others have posted here - the bed is rock hard - but thats typical of chinese jotels.
