Liked: Location, price, friendly staff.

Disliked: The location is good. It's not very clean, the carpeting is very dirty, but in general is good enough for the price. I drove but I forgot to tell them that I needed a parking permit so I had to park down the street and paid 14 bucks per night.

Liked: Bit apprehensive because of previous posts, but very agreeably surprised. The house is in a lovely street with beautiful, older, slightly seen better days houses with gardnes and lovely big trees and loads of wild life - welcome contrast to the skyscrapers everywhere else I went! The dorms are fine with en-suite showers and toilet - which might have been a problem, but in practice was not. There is a lovely lounge/kitchen with plenty of comfy chairs and great views. All the guests were quiet and considerate - a real bonus if you are jet-lagged or have early meetings. Lovely atmosphere. Really peaceful. Would strongly recommend. Towels and soap.

Disliked: A free access toilet would be great - especially when returing later in the day to collect luggage from store prior to leaving Toronto. Personal experience of breakfast limited as pancakes for everyone, whilst nice idea, take quite a while to cook. Some bread and spread would be nice adjunct!

Liked: Free internet, location in city is pretty good... was a pain in the ass getting there from the airport... get what you pay for...

Liked: The place was falling apart. The heater was not working well so we had a hard time falling asleep. The staff were unfriendly and cleanliness is questionable. There will be beds unmade still after 1 day or more. On the bright side, the stay was cheap compared to other hostels, if that is any consolation.

Liked: nothing, the bed above mine had mould on the bottom of the mattress. the toilet had a broken seat, the power points were dangerously in need of an electrican. water leaked under my bed and therefore the room smelt of wet laundry, as well as long term guests with garbage bags of clothes which seemed they had been living at then hostel longterm.i also had trouble connecting to wifi. my room had a small window which was missing some glass so we couldnt keep it cold with the air con.my advice-stay away, pay more money and go else where...

Liked: this hostel was cheap and in a good location. but our room was really dirty, the bathroom seemed like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time, was mold in the shower and around the basin. but if you are looking for somewhere cheap and close to town and for a short stay then may be okay

Liked: Standard hostel, not overly clean but sufficient, quiet even though there seemed like there were quite a lot of guests, great breakfast, free internet, good location - quick walk to the main streets. If you're looking for a place to simply sleep after a days sightseeing this place is value for money.

Liked: A good opportunity to spend less money to stay somewhere. Really well-locatet, within a 10 minutes walk you can go to the most important plaza in Toronto as well as Eaton Centre, the greatest shopping area in the town. The stuff was friendly. But: the floor my room was located on smelled a bit strange (what disappeared finally), wet things dried very slowly in my room (4 bed shared). Good: Bathroom in my room, but it was not very clean (you can come along with it, if you are not too serious about that). Internet-PC was for free (great advantage!), but very slow (WIFI might be better).
