Liked: The staff were from the very beginning incredibly friendly and overly hospitable. My bestfriend and I had made the wooden Ankor our meeting point from our travels. We had sent a message to get tuk tuks to pick up at two different times as we were arriving a few hours apart but unfortunately they had forgotten to send one to pick me up. However i picked one up from the airport easily enough for $5 and they kindly insisted on paying for the ride as it was an error in their communication. However that was the only hitch for the rest of the holiday was amazing convenient and Vida [I believe hotel management] was ever willing to help with anything booking tours, answering the 101 questions i had and they even surprised me with flowers and cake for my birthday!!! It was definately worth the money. Breakfast although simple was well done and the staff were a lot friendlier than the other places we stayed at all our journey! The rooms were incredibly clean and quite nice. Much better than I expected at the price I was paying.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Hotel was located in a quiet neighbourhood, though this means that the Old Market and Pub Street is a considerable walk away. Every staff that we met was extremely helpful and polite. Do book tuk-tuks through them and ask for the (English speaking) drivers Sokom and 'Rooney'. They're the best! Free water and fruit platter every day. N.B.: The hotel has changed its name to 'Wooden Angkor Hotel' and - from what the receptionist told me - its location as well. The building and rooms look new.

Disliked: Room fridge switches off when you remove the key, making it rather useless while you are out. Hot water pressure was inadequate.

Liked: definitely will miss the warm and friend smile from the staff reception -- Thuan. also other staff are really helpful! they had a refreshing welcome drink, even offer me one when i am using their internet. location and room, are perfect!

Disliked: no window at the room i am staying, i cant tell if it already morning or still midnight. mineral water in fridge is a bit expensive though

Liked: the hotel was very nice. the stuff was very friendly. we got cold water and fresh towel every time we went back to the hotel. free fruit plate everyday. the transportation to the airport by tuk-tuk was also included.

Disliked: nothing much to say here.

Liked: The bed time story that was on the pillow every night was sweet :) The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped with booking tickets etc.

Disliked: The breakfast, although free was not very good. The eggs were burnt. The hot water did not work well in the shower.

Liked: Staff friendly and nice touches such as a cold face cloth on your return to the hotel and bed time stories! Not in the centre of town but only a 5-10min walk or 2minute tuk tuk journey.

Disliked: The room I was in could do with a fresh coat of paint - but this is being picky!

Liked: Warm greetings wz welcome drink & cold tower/ information of tourist attractions/ Khmer language lesson upon check-in! Room was clean & neat, FREE wi-fi available, bath tub. There was a turn-down service around 6pm everyday, we've got TV programms/ Cambodian's tale and candies!! lol Great breakfast!! Ohhhh, I loved it!!!! Upon check-out, they prepared bottle of water, snack & kind of souvenier for our way-back. I was sooo touched

Liked: The people at this hotel were AMAZING!! So incredibly friendly and helpful. It's in a great location too, short tuktuk ride to the temples, and 5 minute walk to Pub Street. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Siem Reap!

Liked: the hotel had a very homely feel, the staff were very attentive and it was only a 5-10min walk from the centre of town. it was also very clean and the breakfast was huge. it was the best place we stayed in cambodia - i would return and reccommend to others.

Liked: The hotel location is great, walking distance to town centre. The welcoming staff were always on hand with a cool drink whenever we returned to the hotel.

Disliked: Can't really complain about anything except maybe a bit more variety needed at breakfast ..eggs, eggs and more eggs!

Liked: the hotel is walking distance to and from the old market and the commercial areas . the staff are very friendly , accomodating and always ready to assist the guest.. i was very thankful t o the management that they let us use another room for free coz " our flight is beyond the checking out time so they transfer us to another room without paying more. they are generous.. i would recommend this to other travellers.

Disliked: the aircon at room 101 is not too cool ,, maybe they dont know abut it ,, i wasnt able to inform them but other rooms are super cool . just that the rest are okey and good service.

Liked: The breakfast was free (and not just peanut butter on toast!!), the staff were really helpfull.

Disliked: We were told by a couple that their laptops had been stolen from the room!

Liked: Prior to my stay, I had arranged for airport transfer for the hotel and query with regards to the rates, I must say the GM is very responsive and courteous over the phone. During my stay, the staff are pretty knowledgable, and very helpful towards guests. The rooms are simple and clean and the location of the hotel is fantastic. Breakfast is simple with toasted bread, ham and egg with coffee. Overall an excellent stay esp for budget travellers looking for quality.

Disliked: There are no safe box within the room but at the hotel's reception.

Liked: Service is absolutely excellent at this hotel - staff is extremely helpful, accomodating all our requests and more, with a smile. Plus I loved the evening candies & bedtime stories!

Disliked: Those who don't like eggs have a hard time at breakfast. But that's a common problem across SE Asia.

Liked: Absolutely great place! Wonderful value for money!! Very close to the night market and the bar/restaurant streets. The staff is very nice and helped us to organise tour to Angkor Wat at good price. Free transport go/return to the airport!

Liked: Reasonable prices. Good location, walking distance to Pub Street, food and drinks. Efficient service.

Disliked: Female receptionist was upset that I asked for a change in rooms. Bad attitude, had a sour look on her face most of the time.

Liked: Great staff with a relaxed atmosphere. This hotel aims to please. It's a bit out of town, but if you have seen what's become of Siem Reap in the last little while, you will be happy about the $1 tuktuk to this quiet area at the end of the night...

Disliked: We didn't find there was anything to really dislike.
