Liked: We had a pleasant enough stay. Few of the rooms have windows, which is not really clarified on the website. The staff was helpful, although you could probably find a better deal on tours, tuk-tuk drivers and guides etc. if you organized it yourself. For example, a cab to Poipet should cost no more than $20, but is offered by the hotel for $30. $10 just for making a phone call? It is definitely possible to discuss the price...

Liked: The Staff was great, very friendly and helpful.Unfortunately they booked us on a Bus Trip to Bangkok which was a nightmare, but they're not to blame, and when we complained they apologized and stopped working with this company.The rooms were clean and good value for the money. Hotel 89 is located near the town center (5-10min walk), but in a quiet street. Angkor Wat is about 15min by tuk-tuk.We especially liked the room service facilities: Every day they provided complimentary water, tv programm and once we got even little cambodian fairy tales printed and laid on our bed to read before going to sleep. very nice.

Liked: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made me feel very welcome. When I returned from day trips I was always greeted with an ice-cold drink of water and a cold towel-perfect in the hot weather! The hotel was very clean, only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and good value for money as the price included free airport transfers in a Tuk Tuk. A turn-down service was offered and every evening a list of English movies on TV that night was placed in each room-a nice touch!

Liked: Kim (the manager) and his staff at Hotel 89 are AMAZING. NOTHING and I mean nothing is too much trouble. The room we had was nice and clean with cable tv, hot shower, bath and air con. We were really well looked after and were very sad to leave. Our tuktuk driver, Quinn, took us wherever we wanted to go and always with a smile.

Liked: Cannot say enough about this place. We stayed for two nights and the service is amazing. Met with a cold towel and ice cold water and a huge smile everytime you walk in the door. Clean, safe, close to everything you need. Staff are brilliant!!

Liked: An absolute Gem. A small hotel with 5* service. Every time you entered the hotel we were met with a big smile, cold flannels and cold water. Tea and coffee were available free of charge at any time and the use of the internet is also available free of charge until midnight. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. our room was cleaned very well and between 18.00 -21.00pm the room was checked again and a list of that evenings TV movies and a bedtime story was left on the bed. So thoughtful.The only little thing was breakfast was the same everyday. A little more variety e.g an omelette instead of fried eggs - perhaps rice or noodles. Other items were available if you paid extra though. We used the laundry service everyday as it was cheap and very well done.The hotel arranged everything for us, the tuk tuk driver, an English speaking guide and a bus back to Bangkok. i would have no hesitation in recommending Hotel 89 and will stay here again.

Liked: The staff were so incredibly kind and warm and helpful without being pushy or overbearing. The room was immaculate; breakfast was excellent; safety was never in question with a security guard and receptionist on duty 24/7; and overall it was great value for money. It is not necessarily a place to meet lots of new people, but I rated it highly in that category because this hotel deserves an excellent overall rating and it doesn't seem fair that their rating could be brought down by this category. It's a hotel not a hostel, and being a fun place to meet people is not necessarily a priority for people who stay in hotels.

Liked: Hotel 89 is one of the best places we've stayed, not just in Cambodia, but in the whole of SE Asia. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and attentive, and there were so many little touches - from cold towels and water after a hard day's travelling, to free breakfasts, to a nightly bedtime story - that it was a pleasure to stay there. I would encourage anyone coming to Siem Reap to stay here.

Liked: This was the best place I stayed during my entire trip, and I'd highly recommend it to everyone. The staff was amazingly helpful, the rooms were freshly and nicely decorated and impeccably clean, the location was very central yet quiet at night, and there were just so many really nice small touches like they had turn-down service for free and gave you a cold towel and free drink each time we got back from a day at Angkor. I give Hotel 89 my highest recommendations. Stay here!

Liked: Booked the hotel based on a review in th internet and I was not dissapointed. Though it looked a bit way from the main street, i hardly noticed as I got my taxi to take me there. The staff was very friendly and always eager to help. My double bed room had all I needed. Air Conditioning, TV with a nig list of channels, clean and spotlessly bright bathrooms, decent breakfast, clean and fresh sheets, international calling, internet, free wifi etc. The hotel promoted some tours but I was surprised that they didnt push too hard as I read about cambodia. The hotel is brand new and very cheap !!

Liked: Finally a place that lives up to the reviews! Incredibly friendly staff and wonderful amentities. If you are travelling solo it may not be the best place to meet people, but not to worry the staff will take excellent care of you and its a wonderful hotel to splurge a tiny bit for a nice private room and great service that anticipates your every need. Probably the best service I have ever had outside of 5 star accomodation.

Liked: Good value for the price. Complimentary full breakfast, internet and free and prompt pick up from bus. Some of staff don't know English really well so you have to make sure you are understood. Deposit for room placed on HostelBookers wasn't automatically entered on bill so some confusiion about what owed.

Liked: the staff were so kind and friendly and couldn't do enough for you- loads of really sweet touches- one of the best places we've stayed in our year away.
