Liked: not much - i would not go back. only good thing was free wifi

Disliked: awful location not near any other hotels or nightlife or bus centre etc despite being in the middle of the city, rooms were dirty, no atmosphere in the hotel, over priced for what it was

Liked: very helpful staff, their english isn't great but they really try. very comfortable beds and hotel nice and quiet, best night sleep i've had in 10months!!!

Liked: Large room. Free water daily. Free lock-up safe. Towel change daily. Beds made daily. Young man at reception, Reaksmeg, very good and helpfull. Owner let us use his computer to print out boarding cards. Internet in lobby bwe used daily for free. Small shop next door. Near cafes and restaurants. Good location. Great shower.

Disliked: Bathroom could have had a scrub round the bottom tiles to clear of mould. Bins not emptied daily unless over-full. Can I also say thatv the Katie REynolds comments are not about this hotel. She is talking about one in Siem Reap.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and professional. It was a little out of town, but there was a free tuktuk service so it wasn't a problem. Great base for exploring Angkor Wat!!

Liked: the receptionist was helpful with getting us bus tickets to siem reap. the toilet was average. good enough for a one night stay in phnom pehn.

Liked: Could do with a lift but there are lots of restaurants and bars right around the corner (in a good way, it's not like being on time square). The rooms are clean and the air conditioning works. You get what you pay for, it's fine. It's slightly further about but you can get a moto for a dollar....

Liked: All about the hotel was working very well. The room was nice - veru spaceful - and we didn`t had a single problem there. The staff was pleasant and the clenliness was constant and well-done. The loundry was expensive, but fast. Recomended.

Liked: The Good:Location. The hotel is away from the main hotel area but still one one of the main roads and close to a large supermarket (Lucky) and restaurants. As a hotel in general it was relatively quiet.Internet access. The hotel has wi-fi access but only in the lobby which reaches to some of the rooms on the first floor. It is quick and we never had any problems with intermittent service.The Not So Good:The check in process. They acted like they weren't expecting us and when they took us to a twin room we refused it as we had booked a double. We explained what a double was and they took us to a double room that looked like it hadn't been touched in months. The bed still had a dust cover on it and we had to ask for soap and toilet paper.The room. The rooms don't look as good in real life as they do on the internet. The internet photos have lovely decorated beds yet we had 2 rooms during our stay (because we ended up with a pool of water on the floor in the night from broken air con in the first one) and neither of the rooms looked like the photos. Don't be fooled into thinking that because it is a newly opened hotel (late 2009) that anything in the hotel, apart from the TVs, is new. The bathrooms don't look like they have been refurbished in about 20 years.Cleanliness. The bin in the room was full of rubbish and the room was generally unclean. The toilet in both rooms we had stank of urine and was stained yellow. They looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. I used a baby wipe to wipe the seat before using and it came off almost black. I got the impression that they never cleaned the toilets – just sprayed them with the hose every day. Our first room had a huge cockroach in it also which came up (or so we think) through the bathroom drain pipe. The sink in the second room (which was the twin room they tried to give us originally so was prepared for guests to use) had a sink full of hair shavings and there was dried toothpaste all over the sink, shelf and mirror.We have been travelling the world for 6 months and always stay in hostels or cheap hotels and we have to say this was the dirtiest room we have ever stayed in. There are no excuses for a hotel to be this dirty.The staff. There is a gaggle of women that sit in reception all day long and chat yet stop and stare at you every time you come in or out. Smiling at them gets no response. Every time you go to your safety deposit box they stand behind you and watch you take out belongings.General house keeping. On 1 out of the 4 days we were there we had mineral water in our room and on some days the bin would be emptied but the bed not made nor the toilet paper replaced. It was like the house keeping staff did not know the basic things they should do.OverallThere are many more guest houses in the area (try down P 278) that are the same price but better quality and cleaner. The tuk-tuk driver is nice enough but about $1 more than others you can get on the street so we only used him once. The website also advertises tea / coffee making facilities in the room but the reality is there is a hot water tank behind reception and you have to buy your own tea or coffee.... Upon checking out, a gentleman on reception asked us what we thought of our stay and whether we would leave a good review. My husband just answered 'yes' as we were in a hurry to go but had I been asked I would have mentioned all of the above as he was the only one we met in the 4 days there that could speak English.

Liked: This hotel was ok rooms were allright just not very well located and they never cleaned our rooms in 6days and we kept having to ask for new towels and toilet paper! also dont get your laundry done here it cost me 8 dollars for less than 2kg!! which was a rip off the staff couldnt tell me how much it untill after it was done

Liked: we felt very safe in this hotel and it has a good location even though it is slightly away from the main "tourist" areas of the riverside and the lake. It is very cheap and quick to get to them by tuk tuk however. There is plenty of restaurants/bars/supermarkets near by. When we arrived we were pleased with the size of the rooms (alot larger than anything else we had stayed in) and we were even more pleased when they moved us into an even bigger room when they realised we were a couple (we had booked a twin room). Great stay, friendly staff and would stay again.
