Liked: -location was pretty good, only thing that was a little shady were the numerous sex shops across the street -really big, clean bathroom

Disliked: -overall the property/rooms looked really old -breakfast was only rolls with some packaged cheese/salami, and orange juice/tea/coffee

Liked: Great location. Easy to get to from train station, very close to metro. Short walk to city center.

Disliked: Reception I met at check-in were not particularly friendly or helpful at all. Reception staff the next day was better however. Breakfast was included, but was very simple. Dry bread rolls with packet cheese and salami, carton orange juice and tea was it. I would of been better off visiting the supermarket. Room was simple but clean and comfortable.

Liked: Excellent location. Easy access to the airport and subway. 2 minutes from main shopping street that continues all the way to the downtown square. You can see the whole downtown area on foot. Staff was very helpful if you asked them something.

Disliked: It is a bit old and not updated, but if it wasn't it would be 150 euro a night like the places next door. There are ashtrays by the elevators and if someone smokes in the hallway you can smell it in your room. It would be better if they were removed because there are ashtrays in the rooms as well.

Liked: Great location, cosy interier.

Disliked: Really terrible beds. Too soft I could not sleep. But may be other rooms were different, but for the beds it's not worth the money.

Liked: I like it's antiqueness and quaintness:) also it's good location in relation to the centre :)

Disliked: it seemed a little shabby, and run-down! Also a bit dirty also! Staff weren't all that friendly which is a big downer!

Liked: It was a very central location - 10 minutes walk from Grand Place and there's a metro strop not even 20 steps from the hotel door.

Disliked: The breakfast was just bread and jam or cheese, with juice or tea.

Liked: This small hotel would have an elderly couple with a nice treatment. Located in a very good place, near the center of Brussels.

Disliked: The hotel is a bit old and the elevator takes a little scary. The possibilities of the hotel, rooms and services are a bit limited.

Liked: Only a short walk from the station and centre!

Disliked: We booked this through Hostel Bookers - when we arrived the elderly guy on reception said that our reservation didn't exist!! Good start - he then said that it was fine as they had room! We were only spending 1 night in Brussels so we weren't too bothered about where we were staying so long as we had somewhere. The hotel itself is very dated! Cleanliness was ok for 1 night but I wouldn't of wanted to stay for any longer.

Liked: Close to the train station and not far to walk to the main square of the city.

Disliked: There was an old cigarette butt left on the bedside shelf-gross! and the bedding was all stained and filthy. We only stayed here because we were desperate and that's the only reason i would ever return.

Liked: the location is not perfect,but good enough for the price, just walk about 15 minutes to the centre. the breakfast is simply but nice. overall, it's quite good for youth with lower price but with hotel service.

Disliked: the building is quite old

Liked: I guess 30 years ago this must once be a splendid hotel! But not now. Anyway, rooms are really spacious, location is good and convenient, and the price - erhmm, I think still value for money for a private single ensuite to cost altogether EUR135 for 3 nights' stay, breakfast included. And although wi-fi is charged, it costs EUR5 for all the whole time you stay there, which is okay for me if you would stay for more nights.

Disliked: Like other reviewers' comments, there's a weird, unpleasant smell inside rooms and corridors! But opening wide the windows for a while helped. The breakfast lady was bad-tempered on one day when there were lots of guests having breakfast, but another day when there were very few people she was so kind that she even poured coffee for me!

Liked: Good location. Near train and Brussels center.

Disliked: It's an old hotel with a lot of dust and smallests rooms. Buy your antihistaminics before reach the place.

Liked: The Hotel is situated in a very good and safe area.

Disliked: The first room where we got it was dirty, so we asked for another one. There the light didn't work in the restroom, so thirdly we find the good one...It was a long procedure...
