Liked: Free Wi Fi in the room

Disliked: The outside area is not safe. A lot of strangers, beggars around this area. Beware of pickpocket here. They distract you by asking direction and time.!!!

Liked: It was very chip; internet wireless connection was free; staff was kind

Disliked: breakfast was not included; room's photos on the hotel website are quite different than the reality; the location was not so good; there was no hairdrier, frigobar in the room.

Liked: The hotel was really close to the train station (about a minute walk). We didn't mind being farther away from the center of town because we wanted to walk around. The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly clean. The people at the desk spoke english and it was relatively cheap.

Disliked: Several things in the room were broken including the shower head and light. They ran out of towels and the second day gave us hand towels instead of regular ones. The location was sketchy and we didn't feel very safe walking back at night.

Liked: Near Gare du Midi and nothing else.

Disliked: The common area to rest and hang out for the shared bed/bathroom customers was at the front lobby which made the hotel noisy, scary and looked low class. Heavy cigarette smoking throughout hotel even inside the room. Our room's windows were not facing front of building therefore had no air ventilation. It was very hot and there wasn't any other source of cooling system in the room. The little table fan is not helping at all and cannot be adjusted. It's also hazardous due to no cover of the fan blades. The room was dimmed because some broken light bulbs were not replaced. Bathroom was not completely clean. There were hairs on towels. Breakfast was not worth the value.

Liked: it had someone at the front door all day and night. they did well at answering questions when we had some

Disliked: very expensive for what we got. had to stay here because everything else was booked up. paid too much for a tiny room and had to share the bed. the window opened to an outside hall way? very unsafe to leave it open overnight. as much as we had a few ammenities not expected in a hostel (tv in the room for example) it didn't make up for the shotty state of the hotel. the hallways were dark, dingy and dirty. it should've been cleaner for the money.

Liked: We had a problem with our room, they were doing construction in it and when we went back down to the check in, after making some calls he got us another, better room, it was big bright and smelled good!

Disliked: It is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Grand Place, which is fine as long as you know that. Also, the surronding area was entirely composed of middle age men, there were no women outside at the cafes. It was strange and we got a lot of stares walking down the street.

Liked: Good location, very clean room and toilet. Hotel staff could be friendlier, but its not a deal-breaker.We stayed here during the volcano eruption mess, and it worked well for us coz it was really near train station, Midi.We only stayed for one night there, and although the area seemed slightly dodgy, and there wasn't really much going on, it was only a place for us to spend the night, and we were mostly around the centre, which was more pleasant...The metro station is in walking distance too.

Liked: A decent hotel for a hostel price in an interesting, centrally located neigbourhood. Certainly not the Hilton and with a construction site next door but very ok for the budget traveler.
