Liked: Very helpful staff. We were trapped in Brussels on 31stJan due to the strike and the staff gladly arranged an additional night's stay for us for the same price. Room was big and warm (twin ensuite), bathroom was clean. The location is near to the main attraction sites.

Disliked: Poor wifi signal in the room, so we had to surf net in the ground floor area. Breakfast not included but there are plenty of food places along the streets nearby.

Liked: the best thing was the location just 2 blocks away to the main shopping street in Brussels..n the room was very comfortable..

Disliked: the internet connection was quite a disappointment. Plus its quite expensive for a hotel which didnt offer a free breakfast..

Liked: Great location only 15 mins walk from Grand Place. Friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money.

Disliked: The beds let the rest of the room down. Small singles but presumably aimed at the target market.

Liked: Perfectly adequate 3-star hotel, very easily accessible from the station, also easy walking distance to the city centre. Very clean, lovely big bathroom! Having a small fridge in the room was an added bonus.

Disliked: Slightly more expensive than I would expect.

Liked: The hotel is like the description in Hostelbookers, nothing more, nothing less.

Disliked: Only 1 thing: the third bed of the triple room is a sofa bed

Liked: Friendly staff very courteous. Very near to city center, all places at walk able distance.

Disliked: Check-In time is 3:00pm.

Liked: The staff was extremely helpful, and it was very close to a metro stop, or only about a 10 minute walk to the center. It was extremely clean, with a very nice bathroom, towels and sheets included.

Disliked: The area became a little dodgy late at night, but I think if you stay in a group/act reasonably, it's fine.

Liked: everybody is friendly, they clean the rooms everyday, they have free internet, they have A.C in the room, you also get a mini bar and flat screen tv... the location is nice close to the nord station and the metro.

Disliked: the breakfast is not cheap and the clubs are a little bit far...

Liked: It was about the same price as most hostels and we got our own room, bathroom, television, etc. The place was extremely clean and there is someone at the front desk 24/7 to help you. It's it a safe area and not a very far walk from the Grand Place. We were really amazed at how nice the hotel was considering how cheap it was! They also accept credit card. I think on some of the sites it said they had a minimum of 250pounds for credit card charges, but that was definitely not true.

Disliked: The Wifi was a little difficult to access, but no major issues.

Liked: If you are traveling as a couple, and you want to avoid sharing room in a hostel, this is a perfect solution for this amount of money! The location of the hotel is great (next to the train station and about 10min from center). Hotel is peaceful, quiet and very clean.

Disliked: The only thing that is missing is a bit of fun and youth atmosphere.

Liked: Though the hotel is nothing special, it's a great deal for the cost--clean, comfortable, and centrally-located. It was cheaper than our Amsterdam hostel and we were able to have a private room. Hotel Belmont's perks include free in-room wifi and city maps upon request.

Disliked: While the concierges were polite and competent in English, they were also rather inattentive and unhelpful: We had to check out at 5:00AM to catch a train at Brussels Midi Station, and nobody was at the "24-hour" reception desk. We waited, rang the bell, searched around the ground floor to find an employee, and then waited some more. Since they padlock the door at night, we were locked inside the hotel. Eventually, we returned to our room, dialed the reception number, and woke up the concierge on duty. Additionally, they insisted on taking our room key when we left the hotel for an evening out. I had no qualms with the policy until we returned and asked to retrieve it. Reception doesn't require any identification/verification, just a room number. I could've easily asked for a different key and stolen valuables from another customer. Since I had left my laptop, phone, and passport in the room, this made me quite uncomfortable.

Liked: More like a hotel, private room for 2 people at 27.50 Euros - pretty good!

Disliked: At least a 15 minute walk to things, but this isn't so bad cos its a 5 min walk from Brussels Nord station, so you are inbetween. I'm over carrying my backpack long distances!!!
