Liked: The hotel is locatd in a very old building, and this gives it a very nice and calm athmospere. The entry is very beautiful and the whole building breathes authencity.

Liked: The dining room and communal areas downstairs are really beautiful. Lovely stained glass windows and detailed carved wood. It is a lovely environment for breakfast. Breakfast was good, a nice continental one. Sometimes in cheaper accomodation "continental breakfast" can mean just one measly roll with jam, or even worse still, just a slice of toast. Here however, we got several rolls each, a selection of salami, cheese, jams and spreads, a boiled egg, orange juice and coffee. Very nice, and we were full. We only stayed one night, so didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel. We enjoyed the atmosphere there which was calm and comfortable (we did not want a "fun" party place) The people were friendly, and I noticed several board games in the communal sitting room, so am sure I would have been happy to stay longer. The building is very tall, and we were on the top floor. Not a problem for us youngsters, but you may need to make a special request about which room you need if you have a problem with (lots of) stairs.
