Liked: very nice ensuite rooms, one of the best sleeps i had on my travels. using the trains makes everything accessible in minutes

Liked: The hotel's location is very good, the main attractions reachable in few minutes. It was our main criteria, because we went to the hotel only to sleep.

Disliked: 1. First, they don't find our reservation, but later we got our room, so it was not a big deal. 2. beds are creaks .

Liked: it has exellent conection to subway,only 2 minutes of walk, so you are in 10 minutes in the center of Vienna. The staff is friendly.

Disliked: the choice for breakfast was always the same during our 5 day stay. They could have made it more diverse, and some fresh fruit would be nice..

Liked: Excellent connection with city center, max.2 min to U1 line. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was more than ok for 3 €. Rooms are old, but clean and very satisfying for their price.

Disliked: We were very pleased with this 2* hotel. For the money we payed, we got more than we expected.

Disliked: No credit cards are allowed and there is a reason for it.... On the arrival we had to pay cash for the stay, handle the guy 6 bills of 50 EUR, he said you gave me 5. When he saw we are not going to give an extra one (100% sure he was given 6 bills), the 6th note appeared miraculously... The Internet conection (if you get any Internet at all) is bad...

Liked: Nothing. Zero. Zilch.

Disliked: My girlfriend and I stayed at the Birg-Cyrus for a night, and NEVER AGAIN!! WHAT A DISASTER!!! We were in our room-- unpacked, and asleep, when we got a loud banging knock on the door-- another guest had been sent up to tell us to return to the front desk. We found out that-- despite having already paid for our room, and having unpacked our bags, the front desk guy had just made a deal with other guest who arrived later, and discovered he could make more money off of our room, so he kicked us out of our room!! We then had to pack up our belongings and move to another room-- much smaller and uglier, with two tiny separate beds with wooden rails. Scandalous!! I've never been treated so horribly by a hotel. Ever. When we tried to address the issue calmly with the front desk guy (in an arm cast and mohawk), he just showed us the palm of his hand, like a child, pretending he couldn't hear us. The cleaning staff is nice, but the front desk guys are crooks.

Liked: Its location and wi fi access in the room without the hassle of taking your laptop to the hotel lobby, are quite impressive. The receptionists are polite and friendly.

Disliked: The toilet accessories like shampoo and body lotion could be made available free of charge over and above soap.
