Liked: Good breakfast including fresh rolls and croissants. Very safe as secure locked gate on the door. We booked horse riding, wine tasting and trekking tour at the hotel very cheap. approx £50 pp for all 3 tours on separate days (would give the trekking tour a miss as most of the day is on the bus). Sky tv in the room. Great location for shops and cafes but not near any decent restaurants.

Disliked: Wifi connection was poor. Only a small kitchen but as most guests are hoteliers it was always free. Odd bathroom which was small and was a wet room so everything gets wet. This is a hotel so there is absolutely zero atmosphere!

Liked: Very secure-the front gate is locked even during the day. Helpful staff. Close to Plaza Independencia and a 10-min walk from the main restaurant/bars street. Housekeeping daily. Great value. Very quiet if you have a room in the back.

Disliked: The bathroom didn´t seem overly clean, but not bad for South America.

Liked: Located 2Km from the bus terminal and only 2 blocks away from the main bar and resturant precinct. It is also close enough to St Martin's park which you can walk too. The staff were all able to speak enough english to be able to communicate and very helpful in giving advice on attractions and good eateries nearby. A great place at a good price to have some away time from all the hostel style accomadation. Definately would stay here again if ever in Mendoza. P.S. They even have television and air conditioning in the rooms so if your are a mad fan of english football a good place to catch a game or 2.

Disliked: The kitchen was not really set out for production of great quality food, but when food is so cheap at the resturants nearby not really a major issue with me!

Disliked: The girl who worked at the front desk during the day was very sweet however did not speak english and also gave us wrong information. I think this hotel depends on what you are after - if you are younger, you might be better off in a private room in a hostel..

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of them spoke good English. I did come across one person though, who only spoke very little. They'll help organise tours for you and give you information about various things and warnings about certain areas. I did the Andes by bus tour and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. I liked the breakfast. Instead of bread there was this layered pastry-ish thing and you could put on it dulce de leche, jam, butter etc. There were also cornflakes. There was an AC unit in my room which I was very grateful for in the heat. Unfortunately it is very loud and you don't have direct control of it, but have to ask the staff to turn it on and off. The rooms are clean. They gave me a fresh towel and hand towel after only one day.

Disliked: There was no shower stall in the bathroom for my single room. Well the whole bathroom was the stall. There's just a drain underneath the shower head which is in between the sink and the toilet. Plan for everything in the bathroom to get wet. I always moved the toilet paper and closed the toilet seat. The floor and toilet seat will still be wet later on. They don't provide a tourist map of Mendoza (You can apparently pick one up at the information centre in the bus station though), but on the back of their brochure there is a mini map of the surrounding area, which I found useful. The pillow case was a little too small for the pillow.

Liked: The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming - often going out of their way to help you. Hotel Aragon supplies everything you need for your stay - clean rooms and Bathrooms (cleaned daily); airconditioning; fresh towels every day; Breakfast is included; good/useful information of what to do and where to go;Internet; a secure (you can't get in/out without the staff unlocking the door for you); and has a very small basic kitchen; there is even a space to store your bike(s)! There is a supermarket around the corner - and the town center is only a few blocks away. It is a quiet and relaxing place to stay. They offer a great variety of activities for your stay in Mendoza.

Disliked: Although the rooms and bedding are clean - they are very old. The internet works only in the lobby area, and the kitchen really is very small (about 2 sqm; it has two gas hobs which is ample, however barely room to move). The breakfast is sufficient and consists of - as is the standard in Argentina: rolls/bread; butter, dulce de leche; milk; juice, coffe and tea - however often there isn't enough laid out for all the people staying - this isn't really a problem though as you can easily ask for more and it's readily supplied.

Liked: The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, often going out of their way. For a couple, we're paying the price of a hostel to get a hotel room. I love that it's a hotel with a kitchen. It's right next to a grocery store. The hotel is kept very clean, as are the rooms.

Disliked: The kitchen is very small, although larger than no kitchen at all.
