Liked: I absolutely loved it! The hotel is charming and atmospheric. My room was spacious and beautiful with lots of furniture, which is unusual for the price. The bathrooms were beautiful! And the most amazing thing: it was dead quiet, which in Buenos Aires is incredibly rare. I had a room in the back, so if you are a light sleeper..do the same... The staff was lovely, very helpful and welcoming and speak very good English. The location is excellent. I will definitely stay here again, am very happy to have found this place and will recommend it to all my friends! At first I wasn't even sure about staying, as this place get such mixed reviews, but my experience couldn't have been better. I mean, yes, there is no breakfast, but who needs hotel -breakfast in San Telmo, with an abundance of gorgeous cafes offering superb and extremely cheap breakfast just round the corner?

Disliked: There could be more tea and coffee cups in the kitchen. But otherwise it was well enough equipped (don't agree with some of the other reviews here) And yes, in case you look for a very social hostel to meet new friends, this is not the right place. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful ,yet super cheap hotel...it's perfect!

Liked: Zentrale Lage, sonst nichts!

Disliked: Zimmer hatte kein Außenfenster, daher sehr dunkel und stickig. Der Kühlschrank in der Gemeinschaftküche stank unglaublich. Die Waschräume würden nach Benutzung sehr dreckig hinterlassen. Dubiöse andere Gäste!

Disliked: The common room noises echo throughout the whole hotel and the price isnt justifiable for what you get. Also the kitchen is a joke- some utensils but not even a mug

Liked: The team at the hotel, the bathrrom facilities.

Disliked: I'd expect better cleaning of the bathrooms. The energy sockets are like hundred years old and burned a cellphone charger. Probably should work on the kitchen.

Liked: O hotel bolívar é muito bem localizado, no centro de San Telmo. O ambiente é bastante discreto, sem tumultos ou barulhos. Ficamos num quarto de casal pequeno, mas suficiente para nós dois. A sacada do quarto era ótima. Além disso, a área aberta era ótima para almoçar. O chuveiro tinha água quente e era limpo com regularidade.

Disliked: Não havia muitas informações sobre passeios e tours. Porém, obtivemos respostas para todas as perguntas que fizemos aos funcionários.

Liked: Typical big-city hostel, with long narrow hallways that just continues forever, and small courtyards with cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff, and most of them speak english.

Disliked: Not superclean bathrooms, at least on 2nd floor. But with all the people using it, what can you expect. Don't leave food in the fridge, it gets stolen. Rooms are not soundproof.

Liked: the building is great, charming and historic ... pity that the roof top is not accesible to the guests

Disliked: it would be great if the bathrooms had keys and the rooms need renovation at some point. but these are minor things

Liked: Perfect value for money; extremely cheap, and the room kinda displayed that.

Disliked: I'm not really that 'clean'-ish myself, but i'd definitly consider this kitchen dirty. Room was perfectly fine though.

Liked: Great staff. Free wifi in my room. basic but all I was looking for. Private bathroom. Great price. Easy to get EVERYWHERE by bus. staff all seem to speak really good english. Very QUIET...I am a light sleeper. Get what you pay for, but maybe at this place...a little more. If you want posh accommodation....pay the price! Don't moan about this place. It is what it says on the box!

Disliked: Not much I didn't like. It is maybe a bit quiet for solo travellers wanting to meet people...but that's a matter of preference. I would rather walk to the noise than try to sleep through it!

Liked: It is characterful, as everybody says. The wi-fi works really well and the bathrooms a fairly modern - though they could be cleaned a little more frequently. The kitchen's good and has more than others have commented. It's in the white cupboard tucked away... When parties are seemingly kicking off everywhere in Buenos Aires, this is a quiet, cheap, clean hotel to come back to.

Disliked: If you don't like smoking then this hotel might bother you. But hey, it's Argentina.

Liked: Possesses great character..not to everyones liking but the building is large and impressive..its like staying in a really old hotel that actually could be amazing if done up..communal toilets spotless..lovely staff..nice and quiet plus wifi in rooms..great value, great location and a balcony!!!

Disliked: might be a bit too quiet for some...

Liked: The staff is so friendly and helpful. Ramiro and Miguel are a good craic. The location is really good cause you can walk to Microcentro and San Telmo on Sunday´s (and maybe every single day) is exactly the place to be.Just be careful at night if you walk around the other streets (like Peru or Chacabuco).

Disliked: THe kitchen has nothing at all. THe should buy a little bit more of stuff. Beds are too soft and old.

Liked: the location is perfect, very near to bars and cafes of San Telmo and Plaza Dorrego. the hotel is really big and has a big, clean kitchen and a nice rooftop. bathrooms are very clean and the private rooms are very cheap. good value for money.

Disliked: our room was quite cold, there was no heating whatsoever and due to us staying in the winter, it got pretty cold in there!

Liked: Good location in San Telmo near to shops, markets, bars and restaurants.

Disliked: Bedroom was small but ok for the cost. We moved after 2 nights because of the bed bugs and the huge dip in the mattress which meant my boyfriend and I rolled into the middle of the bed each night. Fine if you need a cheap place for a couple of nights but we were in BA for 2 weeks so moved to Hotel Kaixo which was awesome.
