Liked: Abbie and Charlie (names?) run a really nice backpackers here in Cardiff, I used to study Tourism up at UWIC and am up in around Cardiff most weekends since getting back from travelling Asia and Europe - needless to say this is the best backpackers hostel in Cardiff . . . . . This hostel beats Nomad in Cardiff by a mile - it has a great location, is really modern, does a good breakfast, is great on the weekends as you can meet lots of different people and has a nice vibe. Everything is clean and well run and reminds me of a hostel in San Jordi in Madrid I know run by a Dutch couple . . . . . the owners of this hostel are really nice people and have a positive vibe as do the staff . . . . The location is right next to the stadium - stone throw from Jumping Jacks and all the clubs on St Mary's and Queen Street. If your coming to Cardiff make this your first choice of hostel . . . . .

Disliked: Nothing to dislike - this is a very good hostel and I've stayed in LOTS all over Asia and Europe so I can vouch for these guys - this is a very good hostel.

Liked: This is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest hostel I have ever stayed at, by quite a margin. The decor was homely and modern, the atmosphere relaxed and the breakfast was fantastic. Overall it was even better than most hotels/B&Bs i have stayed at.

Liked: The breakfast is fantastic!! Berries, Yogurt, Croissants, Choc Croissants, Cereal, Toast, 6 different jams and spreads, fruit juice, etc!! And they cook things at night too, without charging any extra! Sat night they did a Pizza and Pasta night. Sunday it was hot fresh baked cookies. I don't know of any other backpackers that do things like that.

Liked: Completely spotless and an excellent location, 5 minutes walk from the train station and the centre of town. Everyone there is really friendly and there's no curfew - you're free to come and go as you want. Easily the best hostel I've ever stayed in!

Liked: The bathroom facilities were modern, clean and most importantly - private! The kitchen was also very functional but maybe a tad small. The breakfast provided was better than average. Run by brother and sister team. They are very friendly, and pay more attention to detail than other large hostels.

Disliked: Kitchen and dining rooms were a little cosy.

Liked: This is a place that I can't say a single bad thing about! Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the best breakfast I've had in 5 months of backpacking. We didn't want to leave Cardiff!

Liked: Good location. The day staff were brilliant (the night staff was helpful but not too friendly), the whole place was very clean and the breakfast was amazing: the best one I've ever seen in a hostel - and free too!

Disliked: Matress and pillow not very comfortable.

Liked: GREAT PLACE TO STAY! Everything spotlessly clean and tidy. Very nice and helpfull staff. Common room and kitchen are friendly and cosy. Just 5 min walk to castle/ bus- or trainstation, 8 nib walk from museum and towncentre. The breakfast is gorgeous! And they have free coffee/ tea allday long. Loved the place - and been to my share of hostels.

Disliked: Travelled in November/ Dezember 2010 while the 'Big Freeze'. Rooms were a littlle bit cold and the heater didn't get the common area really sufficiently warm. But that's just a minor thing.

Liked: Very homey great TV room with DVD selection and lots of books to choose from. Nice dining room, free breakfast and dinner was a lovely surprise too.

Liked: The Location was brilliant!!!Right next to the town. Rooms and showers were very clean.

Disliked: Parking!!! There were hardly any spaces anywhere around this hostel, it was pay and display on one road, everywhere else was permit only!!

Liked: You won't find a better hostel than this. The staff provides free dinners every couple days, and breakfast is phenomenal. Very clean, plenty of bathrooms, you will feel very at home. The hostel staff is wonderful. Very helpful when trying to find things to do in Cardiff. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Liked: The breakfast was awsome. There are nice lounges and private bathrooms. Furthermore, every evening they serve some free food such as coockies or pasta. They care about cleanliness and silence in the bedrooms.

Liked: Amazing breakfast spread! The best I have ever come across in all my years of travelling. Also a big plus with their free pizza or pasta dinners every couple of nights - wonderful.
