Liked: Very cute clean hostel with lots of character

Disliked: Hard to really fault this place, some of the toilets had no sinks which is a bit strange but thats a very minor complaint.

Liked: Breakfast was incredible, comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean restrooms. (They even gave us a map when we checked in, held our bags longer than they should have) Everything was better than expected.

Disliked: Nothing. Literally the BEST hostel I have ever seen. I will be coming back here!

Liked: Everything.. Met some awesome people in a really great home-like atmosphere. Cardiff itself wasn't the most interesting of places but I had a great time just because of the place we stayed in. Was just like staying at a friends place! Free pizza/cider night was great for meeting people.

Disliked: nothing!

Liked: Very clean, lovely kitchen and deck area at the back. Owners very welcoming and helpful, excellent atmosphere.

Liked: Everything! It was the most amazing hostel I ever stayed in (and I stayed in quite a lot in Scotland, Wales and London). The owners were most welcoming. The hostel was beauitfully decorated and it felt like being at home! Breakfast and dinner were great. The kitchen was very nice and there was a great terrace to sit outside. Bathrooms were amazing and everything was so clean! The location was great - walking distance to the train station and just opposite the Millenium Stadium and walking distance to the city centre with the castle.....Just fabolous!

Liked: Really helpful staff, great location, clean rooms, great common room areas, good kitchen with good breakfasts and each night I was there, they had free dinners/suppers so that you could meet other people staying.

Disliked: nothing!

Liked: It was very clean the kitchen facilities were great and the showers are better then my own! The location is seconds away from the train and coach station. VERY good value for money friendly staff.

Disliked: not much I didn't like. I would have liked to have been given a list of events and sites when I got there rather then going through all the pamphlets as well as the prices

Liked: awesome breakfast, extremely clean, good location and all in all a cosy feeling that makes it feel like a home away from home. hands down one of the best hostels i've ever stayed in.

Liked: This is by far the BEST hostel I have ever stayed at. The free breakfast is great, cool TV room, and the beds are super cozy. Also, the bathrooms are a bunch of individuals. Like, a toilet, sink, and shower in one private, locked room so I had complete privacy in the morning when I was getting ready. Also, the staff is very knowledgeable about things to do in the area and give you a great map! They're so friendly and have a great collection of DVD's. I might have to go back to Wales just to stay at this hostel again....

Disliked: nothing. absolutely nothing.

Liked: The Owners are super friendly, the rooms & bathrooms are lovely and clean, the wifi was reliable, and free pizza night was great. Also, love the kitchen. It's the best kitchen I have ever seen in a hostel. The free brekky is great too!

Liked: Great hostel! Definitely recommended! Nice atmosphere with kitchen, tv room, garden etc. Good breakfast. Helping and informative staff handing out map and direction to nearby attractions. Walking distance to all city center attractions. I just took a bus to Cardiff bay during my trip and no more buses needed. 10 min walk to central bus station. Really comfortable shower.

Disliked: Bed is slightly too soft for me, not a big deal.

Liked: I felt welcome from the very first moment I stepped inside the place. Owners very helpful and friendly. Facilities were excellent. I had everything I needed. Definitely my place to stay in Cardiff.

Liked: Super friendly staff who even gave me free ice cream :) Well equipped kitchen and the free breakfast was really lovely--juice (all kinds), cereals, granole, fruit, bread, pastries and more. The location is great, 5 minute walk from bus/train station. Really clean rooms and quiet. TV room with lots of DVD's and books.

Disliked: They were doing some construction at the time, but I can't blame them really since it's off season and I was staying during the week. But the work didn't start until after 10 am and was finished by the time I returned from sightseeing, so it wasn't much of a problem. They have a cat, which is no problem for me, but if you're allergic, FYI.

Liked: it is quite convenient and safe to live in this house. You don't need to carry shampoo, bath soak, lock, or stuff like that, the house will provide if you need.Bathroom is very clean and well-appointed, as well as the kitchen. I love the living room with French windows, you can watch TV , talk with friends, play games there.

Disliked: I don't like the colour of the quilt cover.

Liked: Amazing. The free breakfast is excellent and tasty. All clean, was more like a home then a hostel. Great value for money. So close to. walk everwhere.

Liked: Amazingly clean. I was really surprised by the friendliness of the staff. The hostel is small but the facilities are more than enough. I would highly recommend it. Value for money excellent.

Disliked: The only thing I could say I didn't like is the size of the rooms, which were a bit too small.

Liked: Wonderful place to stay! Hot water, clean bathrooms, lovely staff and free dinners, beer and ice cream and an amazing breakfast. The best hostel so far iv stayed at!

Disliked: First in first served for a seat in the cozy sitting room!

Liked: Without a doubt, Riverhouse backpackers is one of if not the best hostel or guesthouse I have ever stayed at! It really cannot be faulted, friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent facilities and includes extras. Highly recommend to anybody, well done!
