Liked: The house was lovely,and the staff were friendly. Breakfask was great. And they offered their recommendations to visit and how to get there. There were enough plug-in in the room. Kitchen was clean and tidy.

Disliked: There was no big problem.

Liked: EVERTHING!!!! This place is great. It was low cost, very close to Cardiff Central Station (bus and train), GREAT breakfast, helpful and responsive staff. When I arrived I had a very squeaky bed. I told them about it and it was fixed before I went to sleep. Keep an eye on the whiteboard by reception to see what evening treat is on offer. A little extra that helps to bring everyone together.

Liked: Very clean, homey, enthusiastic hosts

Disliked: the bunks were not of the highest quality - really shook when climbing to the top bunk!

Liked: It has a homely feel to it and there is good heating for the bad winter nights. The breakfast in the morning is great and the free pizza on Wednesday evenings is a nice twist.

Disliked: The lockers in the rooms are far too narrow. This makes it hard to store all your bulky bags nicely.

Liked: Friendly staff, nice clean accomodation, very good breakfast.

Disliked: The dorms are small and there's no en-suite although I knew this in advance so not really a complaint!

Liked: I loved the Riverhouse Backpackers! The staff is lovely as were the other travelers. The breakfast looks more like in a hotel and the rooms are bright and friendly. They even provide a free dinner and cake every other day. There are enough plugins in the room and you get your own locker in your room. The kithcen looks awesome and there are a playstation and a Wii in the commonroom, which is nice for rainy lazy days. Cardiff is definitly worth a visit! I'd love to stay there again!

Disliked: There was nothing to complain about! Loved it!

Liked: This is one of the best hostels i've stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing for hostel standards and the place was clean. It also had good wifi. The location is very safe for a solo traveller and walking distance to the main city centre. I would definitely stay here again!

Liked: It is a nice house just in front of Millenium Stadium across the river, clean and cozy. Showers and breakfast are really good. Very close to Cardiff Castle as well. The staff is very helpful and kind.

Liked: The staff were amazing, so friendly and kind. The breakfast was out of this world!

Disliked: The bed was really uncomfortable. I could feel the metal cross bar. That said, I would still stay there again because everything was so amazingly excellent, absolutely top notch, it made up for the small shortcoming. Best hostel I've stayed in ever.

Liked: The family run hostel is the best hostel I have ever been to. Charlie and Abi were friendly and helpful hosts at any time. The rooms were nice and the beds really comfortable.There is a really beautiful kitchen downstairs and a nice garden where you can sit outside.The bathrooms and showers were clean all the time.The breakfast was an entire feast !!!Buffet with croissaints,different types of toast,cakes and 4 sorts of musli....orange juice,apple juice,2 types of milk,water.....even free fruits !If you are tired or lazy there is a cosy livingroom with a big television where you can watch sky or choose one of the plenty DVDs.Even a playstation was there.....We had a great week in Cardiff.I can only recommend this place to everyone.

Liked: Felt more like sharing someone's home than a hostel. Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and homely. Excellent breakfast and very quiet at night but near Cardiff Centre

Liked: Absolutely brilliant and exceptional value for money

Disliked: The boiler was broken when I arrived. It was however promptly repaired the next day.

Liked: everything was even better than the what ive read!... got there too early to check in but they were happy to look after my luggage while i went out to town... then when i did my check in, been invited to have free dinner (pizza night) and they also sell drinks (1 quid for a coke! wowser!) and it was great as the weather was rubbish and thanks to the dinner in i avoided going out in the rain!.. ive stayed in around 50 hostels all around the uk and never stayed spending time at the common room, etc but their living area is so welcoming that ive spent the evening watching a movie there. they even had a ps3!! the breakfast was the best ive ever seen in hostels!...and the 2 owners are truly sweet and they have their lovely cat lou lou around which is so cute!... cant wait to go back there!!!

Disliked: nothing! is all so clean, secure and best value for money, nothing to complain at all!

Liked: This place was amazing. Best hostel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in alot! It was spotlessly clean, the owners were lovely and would go out of there way to help! It had a wonderful relaxed atmosphere with, and lots of things to do there like endless amounts of DVDs and books. Also on one of the nights I was there they had a free pizza night which was wonderul. And the free breakfast is fantastic something for everyone. I would definatley stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Liked: This is the best hostel I have stayed at in the UK. Absolutely awesome. The breakfast is fantastic; large selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread and croissants, plus juices, tea and coffee. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Location is convenient for the train and really central, plus it's right by the lovely Bute park. If only my home was as wonderful.

Liked: * Fantastic location: next to millenium stadium; in a beautiful part of cardiff, right near city centre * Hostel is in a grand old house, but very new on the insides * Dorm room was beautiful, looking out over the river and millenium stadium * Common area was lovely, beautiful outside courtyard, and great kitchen * Breakfast was hands down best hostel breakfast ever: croissants, napolitanas, yogurt and mixed berries * Wifi worked everywhere * Big bathroom area, regularly cleaned

Disliked: * Absolutely nothing; potentially the best hostel I've ever stayed in

Liked: BEST place we stayed at on 2 week tour of UK!! Great staff, location, breakfast, evening nightcap, clean and helpful staff. Close to train station, downtown, rugby, castle....everything! Can't wait to come back
