Liked: Friendly, clean and a brilliant atmosphere. Guy on the reception (don't know his name) but had just had a little girl was soooo LOVELY! Would recommend and stay again!

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It is comfortable and has facilities for everyone: clean toilets, self-catering kitchen, internet access,television. The rooms are also nice, comfortable and well-furnished. Besides that, the staffs are friendly and do not hesitate to treat us.

Disliked: The only problem that I faced during my stay in this hostel is the noise from the neighborhood.

Liked: not much to be honest, I've stayed in cheaper hostels in Cardiff that are way nicer and offer more things.

Disliked: Rooms are crammed (I stayed in a 14-bed dorm), they don't offer any sort of breakfast (not even tea or coffee), there wasn't any hot water in my room; they don't have 24 hr staff and you need to arrive by 11 pm to get checked in and if you call to say you're gonna be late their phone didn't work; no free wi-fi (it costs 4 pounds per hour).... and it costs more than other hostels who offer this and are in a better location as well

Liked: Place was clean, friendly, and breakfast was great.

Disliked: Hostel took about 45 -50 minutes to walk to from the bus station. There are buses but they stop running very early on Saturday. Also not a great atmosphere for meeting others - common areas are not obvious.

Liked: Staff really helpful, nice clean rooms, great breakfast provided. One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in. Car park a little small.

Liked: Absolutely fantastic value for money! Clean and had everything you needed. Showers were public but individual lockable units. Even in 14 man room most people had keys to the room, rather than say two keys between us. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice. Self catering kitchen unit was very spacious and had everything we needed to cook a big meal for a large group. I was best man for a stag do of 17 guys, and the surprisingly good accomodation (we weren't expecting much given the prices we were paying) really helped. It is a youth hostel after all, but relatively speaking, one of the best I've ever stayed in. Taxi ride into main town area (i.e near millenium stadium) was about 10-15 minutes, and there was a bus route nearby (though we were too lazy to use it).

Liked: the breakfast is brilliant, just like in a hotel.but you need to pay 3pounds extra if you are not a member of YHA, and you need to pay 1.4pounds for the bus ticket to go to city center, when combines it cost more...
