Liked: The views.

Disliked: The disingenuousness and unhelpfulness of the staff. Note, rooms are not 4 bed as they advertise but much bigger, thus rendering our hopes to have our friends stay together pointless. There is in particular a male member of staff with a moustache who is particularly unhelpful - he refused to allow us to cook our food (a frozen pizza) in the oven in the main kitchen in our building and we had to go to the outpost through the rain to do it. Funnily enough, later in the main dining room we saw two pretty girls take their pizzas out of the main oven and bring them into the dining room. Double standards, much? Also, there was no running water at the hostel at the time of staying, resulting in us having to use bottled water to cook, clean and drink. No attempt to inform us of this at the time was made. Despite bringing up the issues with the member of staff in question, and him saying to us he thought compensation was in order, he failed to get back to us on the matter. The views are lovely, but the en-masse bunkbeds are really not very comfortable, even by hostel standards, (and I mean that as a regular hosteller) and the whole experience was sadly, a bit of a let-down.

Liked: It si set in a nice location .... in the middle of nowhere

Disliked: The kitchen is desperate for a reburbishment because it is quite smelly and dirty. Showers not very hot which you need after a soggy wet day walking.

Liked: Location was stunning and all the staff really friendly and approachable. The front door is locked and guests given a code, making you feel safe and your things secure.

Disliked: Alcohol is prohibited as they have their own restaurant and bar. This is not mentioned on the website as far as I could see and un heard of for any hostel I have stayed in so a bit of a shock!

Liked: Excellent location if you want to get relax. Very nice view, with nice mountains surrounding it.

Disliked: Our room was too small with shared bathroom and bunk-bed, which is not very well explained in the description. Breakfast is not included.

Liked: The house from the outside and its location were beautiful. The staff were friendly.

Disliked: I disliked the fact that the property was so rundown and in need of work. The food, I can honestly say was almost inedible and not good value for money. The kitchen was quite dirty as well. The staff didn't seem to know anything about the trails around Snowdon which wasn't very helpful and there didn't seem to be any games for children or adults to play.

Liked: It's cheap!! Lovely location, next to lake, beautiful view. We got double room so it's better as description (they offer 6 or more person in a room). Room was clean, close to bathroom and toilet; self catering, big kitchen to prepare food, few rooms to eat in, or eat in garden. Very nice atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff.

Disliked: ADAM left no negative feedback.

Liked: Was in a great location in the centre of Snowdonia. Would be best if visiters had a car as it is slightly remote due to its location.

Liked: If you're deciding to climb Snowdon, great place. The start of Watkin's path is a five minute's walk away. Good view of a lake.
