Liked: Great free buffet breakfast, screened the World Cup on a projector in the pool terrace

Disliked: A bit loud as it ends up being a backpacker processing house

Liked: I love this hotel. The breakfast buffet is incredible, the outside garden/pool area is outstanding, the staff are funny, the restaurants (Bamboo Snack Bar) right next to it are great, the list goes on and on. I stayed here for almost a month (24 days). If I ever find myself back in Hoi An, I will definitely stay here again, no questions asked.

Disliked: Nothing, this place is dope.

Liked: A hotel with dorms, have a continental breakfast (that is awesome). A nice bar across the pool and free transportation from the bus station.

Disliked: A lot of noise and drunk people from the bar. Very far from the beach and from the main attractions of the city.

Liked: A nice hostel centrally located in Hoi An. The staff was great and quickly provided us with a map and showed us the main areas. They were very helpful in sorting out tickets to our next destination. The pool was great to have and good spot to meet other travellers staying at the hostel. The restaurant and food were great and quick. The room itself was nice, and clean. Got fresh towels everyday.

Liked: Sunflower has a great vibe & I especially like the outdoor area with a pool. It's a great place to meet people and has cheap drinks & food.

Disliked: Many fellow travellers left during my stay & not once were the sheets changed! Usually most hostels provide each bunk with a light & a power source. Sunflower only provided a main light making it difficult for people on different schedules & only 2 power outlets for 6 people which means most people's phones went flat overnight.

Liked: If you are looking for a loud backpacker hangout than this is your place. I was looking more for the "flashpacker" style accommodation and did not find it. The place is big and so therefore comes with a lot of noise, music is pumping by the pool all day, which is fine but on both nights I was woken up by drunk idiots screaming and yelling in the hallway for prolonged periods of time. I clearly just wasn't matched for this place and yes there is a pool but its small and of course people reserve all the lounge chairs in the morning and you have no chance of ever capturing one. The room itself was a bit dingier than I expected from what I saw of the pictures. It was definitely not completely clean there was dust and hairs all over the bathroom and our rooms were missing the sheets on arrival. The front desk staff was helpful and nice but the breakfast ladies clearly looked like they hated their jobs. The breakfast was okay, not the best or worst, get there early and you'll be fine. It's not a far walk to the old town and 3km from the beach. There are tons of restaurants around, I highly recommend the place right next door as well as tailor shops and bike rental right out front. If you are looking for your typical hostel than this is your place but if you're looking for something a bit nicer look elsewhere. Free pickup from the bus station was a nice bonus!
