Liked: If you want to stay in the backpacker district I would recommend Nhat Thao. They are right in the midst but in a quiet lane. Reception was very helpful to someone new in Vietnam. Rooms were clean and had fridge, good air con and a wide range of local/international tv. They helped us book buses to Cambodia at a better price than the local travel agents.

Disliked: As others have mentioned, the breakfast lacks. It's not bad, just basic (ie a bread roll instead of toast). You get what you pay for!

Liked: The location is amazing, the staff is very nice and kind, the cleanliness, the atmosphere of this place, there is rattan chairs in a very nice courtyard.

Liked: Big, clean and modern rooms. (Not all of them have windows, but those that have are great) Rather hotel than hostel atmosphere. Good value for money and located in a quiet -safe- lane in in the tourist area. Staff was extremely helpfull, and went out of their way to make me feel appreciated as a customer. Most also spoke English on an sufficient level to communicate.

Liked: the place is great, in every way. it is on a fantastic street, with a lot of cafes, bars and local restaurants, where everything is fairly cheap. on this street you get to meet many travels and share your experiences in a nice atmosphere, sitting on small plastic chairs, drinking "good morning vietnam"- cocktails..... the people working here are extremely friendly and helpful, i did feel good leaving my stuff here, and it is extremely clean as well. in case you prefere having a room with a window, say so in an email. they answer fairly quickly. and i recomend the airport pick up! all together, this place is 100%!

Disliked: nothing really, only that some rroms do not have windows....

Liked: The hostel is in a really good loacation near lots of bars/restaurants/tour shops so ts easy to navigate around/book buses trains. Its quite difficult to find as its slightly off the main road and there arnt any signs on the main street to say where it is but it meant it was quest being slightly off the main street. staff were friendly and nice filling breakfast in the morning. Or room was clean with tv/cheap snacks in mini fridge/air con and clean bathroom.

Disliked: Walls were very thin and wew were unlucky to be next to a room with a baby that cried all night on one of the nights we were there. But we have stayed in lots of hostels now and most of them have thin walls and it wasnt their fault about the baby.

Liked: Very clean, great location. Cheap rates also.

Disliked: Stairs are extremely slippery. I fell down a whole flight thank-god I had my backpack on or I would have broken my back!

Liked: They gave you a warm welcom when you arrive. Where willing to help you. Was good for a few days, or even more. Nice patio ware you can relax and enjoy breakfast. The Guesthouse is located in a very quit street, but close to the bus station and lively street with bars and shops.:)

Liked: Free breakfast on first day when we arrived was not necessary but appreciated. Happy to store luggage while travelling.

Disliked: A little bit noisy during the night mostly due to other guests.

Disliked: The convenience of being able to book this place on hostelbookers is great but you can find the same accomodations for less once you get there.

Liked: really good location, at the heart of everythinng but nice and quiet, really friendly staff, was there for new years eve and they even put a party on for everyone which was brilliant!

Liked: Gute Lage im Backpackerzentrum und trotzdem ruhig, Frühstück inklusive war gut, Rezeption freundlich und hilfsbereit

Disliked: Früstücksservice und Reinigungskraft sehr unfreundlich Bad hat keinen Dunstabzug, Feuchtigkeit bleibt im Raum, sodass alles klamm wird
