Liked: This guesthouse is just value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the guesthouse is a family business with a charming ambience. Considering the price, it really makes sense. Rooms are not very big but, yes, they are clean. Location is also good, you can walk your way to Benh Than Market and downtown Saigon. Unfortunately, It is placed in an alley not easy to find. But this happens with every guesthouse in the area. Also, Pha Ngu Lao area is quite noisy. Sleeping after 5 am will be virtually impossible. However, if you're decided to stay in that area, Luan Vu is an option I would recommend.

Liked: I met quite a few people in District 1 of HCMC and many of them complained about the trouble they had getting a good nighs sleep in a very lively area. Not a problem with this guest house - my room was silent. Apart from this the staff are very friendly and helpful and will give you good advice on money saving deals on tours and airport taxis. A very basic breakfast but considering the cost of my stay this was to be expected. Besides, great food is available withing a two minute walk in any direction.Good people to have around you - I will be returning at the end of my stay in Vietnam.

Liked: Very helpful staff, good location for the city as nearly all of the obvious places to go are within walking distance. Also as it's down a side street from the main road it's quiet and you can't hear the music from the bars!

Liked: Our original twin share room was not available when we arrived, as a previous tennant was sick. So we were upgraded to a larger room for our entire stay for no extra charge. Also we wanted to watch some DVD's in our room - so the staff so kindly allowed us to borrow their DVD player.

Liked: A fine, reasonably priced establishment, nothing outstanding, the smallest en suites that we came across in vietnam, and for some reason they kept turning the aircon off which was rather annoying!

Liked: It's very near Ben Thanh market, money changers and affordable restaurants. It is also near a Catholic Church. Staff named Loan is very accomodating, helpful and speaks good English. We booked most of our tours with Cam Thi, our contact person in Luan Vu so everything went on smoothly. Since we arrived at 1:00 am the airport pick up we arranged is really helpful. We liked the hot bread they served daily however breakfast is only a choice between omelette and strawberry jam and butter, juice, coffee or tea. There are also 2 units of PC which the guests can use to keep in touch with their families and friends back home.

Liked: Very clean, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi in rooms was really great considering the price. In a perfect location in the heart of a trendy nightlife district which is frequented by travellers and backpackers. Very friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Definitely highly recommended.

Liked: Very clean rooms! Friendly staff! Free Wifi! Breakfast (basic) included!Bit noisy early in the morning because my room was close to the reception/kitchen. To bad, my room didn't have a window, but other rooms did have one. I would recommand this guesthouse to everyone in Saigon!

Liked: We liked Luan Vu guesthouse, the rooms were nice and clean, air/con, comfortable and quiet, as off the main st down alley, but 2 things bothered me, only 2 comps with slow servers, and at breakfast i was told i couldn't have butter as i had ordered fried egg and bread instead of bread and jam. How patheticly tight fisted. Ah, also they tried to give us a more expensive room as we were 30 mins late. Only pay them what you agreed origanally and they have to honour it.

Liked: The staff are helpful, and the rooms are very clean. It's in a great location, hidden in a side alley you don't hear any of the traffic. You get a free breakfast of bread with butter and jam or bread with eggs and a choice of tea, coffee or lemon juice. It has air con and a fan in the rooms and the internet is (mostly) very quick.

Liked: The guesthouse is beautiful and is well worth the money if you are interested in being near to everything while not having to deal with the noise of Bui Vien Street directly outside your window. The staff spoke good English and tried to be helpful. The promised "breakfast" is a small bread and jam, so be prepared to get 'second breakfast' an hour later. The facilities are clean but you could quite easily be walking up 6 flights of stairs as each floor only has 2-3 rooms. I'd stay there again (but I would not stay again at their 'sister guesthouse' on Bui Vien...if they try to move you, don't do it!).
