Liked: Perfect location, right in the middle of the backpacker area. Super clean rooms with friendly staff.

Disliked: Quite noisy at night but I imagine that is similar to all the properties round this area.

Liked: The staff are just so friendly and helpful. We could leave our bags in the hotel even when we went away for two-day trips. The room was good value for money and the staff went out of their way to help us. Would highly recommend this hotel for location, price and quality of service.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: staff were extremely helpful and it was in a great location. cant really complain about anything it was perfect value for money.

Disliked: was a little annoying that when we arrived we got moved to another hotel because they overbooked. and the bed was so hard it was more like sleeping on bricks at the other place. but on the other 2 nights the bed was fine in the hotel that we were booked into.

Liked: Probably one of the best hostels we stayed so far. The staff was really friendly and helpfull. The recommended tour to the mekong delta with tropical travel was o.k.

Disliked: There was a buildingsite next wall to the hostel and it was one night quite noisy.

Liked: Good location. Very clean.

Disliked: Breakfast only egg, bread & coffee, but still ok. Creadit card accepted, but will charges 4%. Highest currency exchange rate, must prepare USD for payment. Dishonest, their tour booking more expensive than travel agent nearby. They changed our room to another hostel (which is far location, water heater with low water pressure, small water for shower, bathroom ceiling with moss). If change to the other hostel, it is better not to bookings.

Liked: This hotel was our first one in Vietnam, and it was perfect for our purposes. As soon as we booked through Hostelbookers, we got an email from the hostel with a map and some helpful information. Our friend arrived on her own after travelling for 28 hours, she got given a glass of juice by one of the receptionists because she looked so drained! We ended up staying for another couple of nights since the location was so good and we ended up liking Saigon a lot more than we thought. The lovely receptionists organised two day trips for us through a local tour company, both were well organised and everything was as promised. The hotel was really close to a couple of decent restaurants, our favourite PAO Cafe was a 2 min walk and the street was nice and lively, but felt quite safe even after dark. We didn't hear any noise (on the top floor) and got a good night's sleep every time.

Disliked: There is no lift, so if you have mobility problems make sure you reply to the email you get from the hotel and they can try to reserve a first floor room.

Liked: I had to change my reservation at the last minute. Luan Vu could not accommodate me for my last night in my changed itinerary, so they arranged a similar room in the guest house next door. They took care of all the changes while I was away on a tour, and the entire transfer for me took about three minutes. The Luan Vu receptionist came with me to inspect the new room and make sure it was at the same standard.Luan Vu was very clean and efficient. They arranged two nice tours (Mekong Delta and the Tunnels) as well as train tickets for my further travels. The free breakfast is basic but filling and prompt. It's tucked away in an alley, which seems discouraging. However, it's only a few (8-10) minute walk from the bus station and everyone on the street seems to know where it is. I just showed the name to two different Vietnamese people and they pointed me in the right direction.It's very close to many good restaurants and bars, so you can save the money spent on a moto. Walking past dozens of other guesthouses in HCMC, Luan Vu seems to be one of the cleanest and most professional.

Liked: Good location. Rooms clean and staff helpful.

Disliked: Rooms upstairs with no lift or offer to assist with luggage up many flights of stairs. Shower in bathroom was below average for what we had in other places.

Liked: Location is perfect, directly in the busy "backpacker" district of Saigon. This makes it a great place to start your exploration of Saigon, and limits the need for any taxi or moto. Also the (tourist) busses from other places in Vietnam stop in the vicinity. If you happen to arrive at the public bus terminal (south terminal), take bus No. 2 to Le Loi road, then walk (10 - 15 minutes). Breakfast (included in the price) was okay, and I also got my cup of coffee refilled.

Disliked: The room(s) without windows made us somehow depressive, as we prefer natural daylight especially in the morning. Rooms with windows cost extra.

Liked: its very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Its an excellent budget - lower midrange option! I have been there a few times.

Disliked: We had booked a double room, when we arrived they tried to give us a twin, after a while we got an upgrade and the double bed we wanted. It was annoying since we arrived late (bus breakdown) with wet luggage and were late meeting a friend, to then have to argue about getting the room type we had booked in the first place.

Liked: I like that the owner and the staffs were really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We took a private triple room and the room itself was quite spacious with a private bathroom and a large LCD with cable in it. The room was cleaned and new towels were provided everyday.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: We had a very pleasant and very light room, which was very clean and tidy. The hostel is situated in a quiet alley, in a popular backpackers district, so best of both worlds! Very friendly staff, who spoke very good english. I would definitel come here again if I'm in HCMC again!

Disliked: I liked everything, best hostel I stayed in in Vietnam.
