Customer reviewThe staff are very, very helpful and will go out of their way to help organise travel (trains etc) and any tours. They are not pushy about the tours. We booked a tour, and had a few issues which the hotel staff went out of their way to resolve - even though it was not their fault. Very good location by the lake in the Old Quarter. Clean and modern rooms, and with breakfast included, it is a good deal. To be recommended. |

Frank BauerNice staff - helpfull and very friendly. They sell the tours (Halong Bay, ...) with garantie and quality. Smoking not allowed in hostel. Not very easy to find, but location is great and quiet. |

Richard SearleFrankly, if you offered the option of the most expensive hotel in Hanoi or The Jasmine. We'd opt for The Jasmine. Ideal location. Staff, laid back, chilled out but ultra efficient when booking any travel arrangements, either flights or the great trip we took to Ha Long Bay. " We have a room reserved for you when you back from your trip to the Bay, pay us for the trip when you return" they said 'no worries'. Customer reviewAn intimate boutique style hotel. Great location - close to all facilities and the beautiful Hoan Kiem lake. Very helpful and friendly staff. Can organise all tours. Owners Spring and River and other family made our stay in Hanoi hassle free - good communication. Meals prepared at the Hotel were varies and of good standard and inexpensive. |

Hieu DoThis hotel was absolutely, hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The service was picture perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and super welcoming. In fact they were so friendly, they invited me to eat their home cooked dinners with them whenever I was at the hotel for dinner. The staff would cook their own meals and eat together family style, and on the first day, I was already welcomed to join them as part of the family. I learned so much about the culture and the lifestyle of the Vietnamese people from talking to the staff. The rooms were clean and in tip top shape. If you do order food at the hotel, they will cook it fresh and hot immediately for you. I became friends with a few members for the staff and went to the night market with one of them one night and around the city of Hanoi with another friend one morning. Diep, Chung, Manh, Thang, Kien, Hien are a few of the names of the staff, and if you see them tell them Hieu says "Hi!!". They will know who I am. Diep was an exceptional receptionist and I will never forget the time when I came down to the front desk on my first day there and was scolded for not speaking Vietnamese when I knew how to speak Vietnamese. (I am a Vietnamese American, but I left Vietnam when I was two and have never been back to the country.) Diep in a friendly, jesting manner scolded me for speaking English and said I was really an American and not a Vietnamese. I have never been at a hotel where a staff member would so quickly befriend me and jest with me in such a way. I absolutely loved it! Chung was also another good friend and his sense of humor is one to love. I also met the owner of the hotel and got exceptional attention from her. Her emails sent to me when I booked the hotel were personal and caring as she was watching out for my well being when I landed in Hanoi to not be swindled by any taxi drivers. I ended up buying her some fresh seafood from Ha Long Bay and I'd sure like to think I'd made a friend with her as well. Don't even think about whether you should book at the hotel. Just instantly book, because rooms are almost always full and never will you find such a great staff, owner and place to reside in Vietnam!! |

Ian SaundersBest Hotel in Vietnam! The staff at the Ritz were welcoming and kind. They allowed us to check in at 5.00am and offered us a spare room with a shower after we had checked out. The rooms were very clean with air conditioning. They offered us helpful and practical advice throughout our stay. |
