Liked: It's great, really central and excellent for meeting other people. It's very professional, clean and safe and I would and did highly recommend it to friends.

Disliked: Nothing at all, thought it was very good value for money, and lots of fun.

Liked: A great backpacker hostel. It's a lively place, with plenty of chances for socialising. I stayed in the older one, in the south of the city centre. There is a newer one as well in the north of the Old Quarter which is lively as well (and you can use the facilities there too). Dorms are modern-ish, beds are really comfortable. The travel desk can help with tickets, tours etc. I went on the Halong Bay tour with them. You should only go on their tour if you want to party. I had a great time. Free tea and coffee all day on the hostel too! The small bar on the roof is a good place to meet people, the beer is cheap and sometimes they give out free beer too!

Disliked: Water isn't always warm!

Liked: Drink specials, good food, awesome people, both staff and travelers.

Disliked: The newer Hanoi Backpacker's Hostel on Ma May road is nicer. Both are a little expensive compared to guesthouses in the same city.

Liked: There were lots of people to meet in the bar or restaurant, free breakfast

Disliked: Prices went up fo xmas without warning, staff were always in the dorm rooms and even used our shower,there was one shower for 14 people in our room.

Liked: Not much.

Disliked: Disorganized grumpy staff.. first impression. This place is busy and laud! Building site next door doesn't help either. Managed to sleep two hours. People smoking in the room.. staff didn't care? Booked for two nights, stayed only one and they refused to refund money. I am sure the guys there do very good business. Traveling for a while now this was definitely the worst hostel experience.

Disliked: Very big (sprawling) place without common area other than bar.

Liked: The Halong Bay tour with them

Disliked: This place is loud. The others backpackers in my room didn't care I was sleeping and they talk for 2 hours like I wasn't there. Even if I asked then go speak outside. And it's was around 4 am!! The bathroom/shower aren't clean. But if you like a party place, book now. I change hostel to a quiet one.

Liked: great trip to halong bay through them, good fun.good location in the old quarter and within walking distance to all the major sights in hanoi.loads of tour operators nearby as well to compare prices for trips to sapa etc..

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: cracking roof top bar - great place to meet travellers, also free breakfast and internet and very comfortable rooms which were always kept clean. also very very good tour to halong bay - take 129 dollar 3 day 2 night tour, its more than some others on offer but the value for money is immense and the tour is fantastic

Liked: Such a god place to meet people, we made friends with people on te roof top bar and changed our plans to go on a 3 day trip with them. Free Beer! We changed our plans so many times and they did not get annoyed with us once.

Disliked: People coming in to dorms during the middle of the night, it's fine though as I knew it was a party hostel and so expected it, can't complain. The free beer is only on sundays!!

Liked: nice, clean, air conditioned roomsfree breakfast with great variety

Disliked: staff didn't know about some sights (ho chi minh _trail_ museum) there was a mouse running around in the lobby sloooooow internet, and only 3 of 6 computers were working properly

Liked: it was a great place to meet people and the organised trips are awesome!!

Disliked: there is one dorm in the second building that is right next to a building site and they start work 6, it is impossible to sleep while the work is happening.

Liked: Good location, great place to meet other travelers! They could use a few more showers and it'd be nice if they would let you control the A/C in the rooms when it's 40 degrees out, but other than that the place is great. Book the Ha Long Bay tour with them; it's more expensive but well worth the cost!

Disliked: The security was a little lacking, and they wouldn't turn on the A/C until 10 even if requested sooner.
