Liked: Location, it's in the old quarter and is closed to Hoan Kiem Lake where most of the tourist spot are.

Disliked: Our room has a very bad smell from the bathroom due to the lack of air ventilation. We only has a tiny little window facing the stairs of the hotel (unlike what it has advertised in the website). The staff are also being unfriendly.

Liked: Buffet breakfast was good and English language televison channels. Plus it is more of a hotel style room for a hostel price.

Disliked: Bit of a wait for our room on the first day, but we did arrive very early morning.

Liked: It has big shower with hot water and clean room with free wifi I love this hotel! I will definitely recommend this to my friends because the room and bathroom are both clean, and that's the most important thing! It has free wifi inside the room, a hot water with big shower handle and the breakfast is enough for me (bread,jam,fried rice with egg,orange juice,coffee). The staff is also very helpful and can speak English.The location is great because you can find markets nearby and foods and since it's located in tourist area it's quite safe. We booked a tours throughout the hotel for visiting SAPA, and Halong bay trip were great with best price and quality

Liked: The staff here are fabulous! The hotel is spotlessly clean. Its right in the old Quarter so don't expect a quiet night if your room faces the street - but for me that was part of the attraction. I was more than happy to watch the action from above. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful from the hotel manager, the receptionist and the cleaners. In fact the tour I booked through the hotel to Tam Coc was great - one of the best tours I have done so far. I was shown a range of options to choose from from basic to deluxe! I enjoyed my couple of days here so much I have returned for two weeks. Breakfast is plentiful.

Liked: Located close to main sights but still very quiet at night. Nice size room and bathroom. My room is a little too damp since there is only a small room facing the stairs. All in all, good value for money.

Liked: It is located in the center, you can reach everything within 10-15 minutes. Everyone is friendly, helpful, could answer all your questions. It is clean, clean the room every day, change towels, soap, shampoo etc. Provide with maps and tours. The price of all tours is reasonable comparing with others. It is very cheap for what it is offering! Wi-Fi is okay !

Liked: The service is good. We arrived at the Hanoi airport at 12 am, and the hotel provided us a taxi. The rooms are really small and small windows, but both the bed and the bathroom are perfect. The hotel is well located (city center) and the budget, too. The rooms are clean!. Normally the breakfast is included. We booked a tours throughout the hotel for visiting SAPA, and Halong bay were perfect.We would like to stay here again

Liked: Cute hotel in the center of the Old Quarter. This is the second time I stayed here. Liked: We had a free upgrade to a family room. Since there were two of us, this meant lots of space. It seems to be in a reasonable location if you don't mind the sound of traffic. The breakfast was edible- coffee with condensed milk!

Disliked: Lack of natural light. Sound of traffic. Disinterested staff. Dodgy ceiling in unventilated bathroom. The staff offering a tour before I'd got to the room.

Liked: We had a nice stay here and ended up extending our stay. You really can't beat the price. Nice rooms and clean. Staff is super friendly, nice free breakfast every morning. Best tour desk.We were booked the Halong bay trip here was cheap and best quality.

Liked: the breakfast was oke

Disliked: the smell, the rooms, we had 3 becaus of they were all very bad, the fungus on the walls, the smal window or some rooms don't have windows, no window or ventilation in the bathroom, very humid in the rooms every thing feels humid after one night, the beds are all very hard not comfortable at all

Liked: For this small price you really got a hotel like room. Especially compared to what I heard from travellers in other ho(s)tels in Hanoi, this has a great value for your money. The location is also fine, located close to the central lake.

Disliked: Beware: Taxidrivers try to scam you in bringing you to a hotel which pretends to be the original. Look at the street / house number very carefully. What I didn't like about the room was the moist. It just couldn't get away. The towel I used in the morning was still wet 2 days later!

Liked: Nice rooms, although no heating, would have been nice in january. Breakfast was okay.

Disliked: Very eager to sell tours, we had barely come in the door before they started. Expensive laundry washing. At least 10 min. walk to the lake, much more than what they say on the website. Quite noisy streetsounds at night, but do not think it is a problem in a lot of rooms. Also it seems like there are two places operated under this hotel. Our keys had Rainbow Hotel written on them even though it was the same location.

Liked: the best bathroom we've had on our trip - an amazing shower. the room was nicely decorated although didnt have a window

Disliked: they over charged for trips/bus rides we went to a local tour agent, only 2 computers so it got a bit busy. breakfast was dissapointing

Liked: The location was excellent - right in the middle of the exciting Old Quarter. The staff were extremely helpful as we orientated ourselves with the city.

Disliked: Our room was on the street which was a bit noisey with all the traffic - but ear plugs solved that.

Liked: Good location. Low price.

Disliked: There are far too many staff hanging around, staring at you unhelpfuly. The only time they perk up is when trying to sell you a tour - which are subpar compared to others available. There are two computers for use by guests, which are fairly unreliable and get busy fast when there are a few guests around. The rooms themselves are very very small - the pictures are misleading. Some have no windows to the outside, making them feel very dark. Our window didn't work - and the window was only to the corridor anyway. We were also close to the kitchen/staff area, so there was constant noise drifting up the stairs as the multitude of staff bantered away the hours between trying to sell us tours. The beds were VERY hard - the worst I have encountered in SEA. The shower in our room did not have hot water - i complained and got poor english instructions on how to make it work, which I couldn't follow. When I checked out, I complained again, and a staff member went to my room and got it to work. So the hot water does work, I was just annoyed at how unhelpful they were about the whole thing.
